Good Value for extra child safety
We got this watch as a gift for our daughter and have been quite impressed by the functionality of it. It seems very easy to use. Lots of useful functions for children to use, such as calculator, camera and stop watch, calls and texts etc. The screen seems quite colourful and to scroll through it is very responsive. There is a GPS tracking mode which makes this product quite unique in that you can use this to monitor child's whereabouts. As a starter watch for a child which incorporates smart watch features. It is a good product. Our daughter has been more active also tracking her steps daily, so that also is a positive. Also comes in a few colours so there is some choice on the overall look. You do need to buy your own sim card and therefore could be additional costs with this. However based on safety a really good product for its purpose

Complete nightmare.
Total nightmare. Would rate this minus 5 if possible.Purchased for my sons special birthday present and really wished I hadn't.Followed the less than basic advice in the set up instructions and then a total of about 5 hrs trying to get it to acknowledge the sim card (which was completely pin free and worked perfectly on a mobile phone) even brought my very tech savvy friend to try just in case it was me !!! Still no joy which was followed up with a further 3 hour call with Vodafone, again just in case and still nothing !! Website customer helpline about as much use as the watch. Final insult, tried a factory reset and watch wouldn't turn back on. Save your money or buy a proper branded smart watch.

Great for nearly Teen, before a mobile phone
The media could not be loaded. We ve owned this watch a few months now, and was primarily for my daughter who is 11, walking home from school and spending time out with her friends. Easier and safer I'm my opinion than a mobile phone. It's basic to use, but does everything it needs too, it's durable and secure to her wrist, so no chance of her putting it down and losing it.It has multiple different functions, takes a reasonable priced SIM which fits securely inside. She can text and call freely to pre loaded numbers, which works really well for us. She is able to call or text whenever she leaves to come home, as well as added benefit that we can call and text her.It comes with preloaded statement freely available. The parent app is easy to install from the playstore and works well tracking the watch. Battery lasts really well.

The watch is very easy for my son to use and the sound quality is great when phoning people.

Great Watch!
My son absolutely loves his watch. He used to play on my phone camera etc but now he can do everything with this watch. He can take photos, it has a torch which he loves using too. He is learning to tell the time and I love how you can have either a digital or clock face option. His favourite feature is the pedometer, he enjoys checking his steps throughout the day and is doing the Dinosaur Discovery Campaign at the moment! It’s a super watch and it’s reassuring to know he can call and message me and it has gps tracking in and an sos option too!!

Location is a bit inconsistent
Generally the watch seems to work pretty well and the ability to make calls and send messages is very handy along with the app.The only negative thing is the location function is pretty inconsistent and we did end up having to use the xPlora provided SIM card with a monthly cost of around £8 rather than GiffGaff / EE one we already had.

Good Smart watch for kids!
I got this watch for my son aged 4, so that we could call him whilst he was at nursery. He struggles with a bit of separation anxiety, especially when he has to be away from his dad.The watch has been a great purchase in my opinion, I had read previous reviews stating the strap wasn't high quality but I absolutely have to disagree, I found it to be very high quality, and it isn't showing any forms of wear and tear yet.I like that I can choose who can contact my son on his watch, through the handy app, not just anyone can call, they have to be approved first. You have to purchase a sim card for this watch before you can use the call features.I found it really simple to set up.The only thing I'd say is that the app is a little basic and could do with some improvements. But I still feel the watch is value for money. With my son being 4, I haven't had to use the tracker so can't comment on its reliability.Overall very happy.

Not fit for purpose
Bought this for our 9 year old son for Christmas as he’s a bit too young for a phone yet so this seemed the next best thing. Worked well for the first month or so then the problems started. First issue was tracking where he was as this wouldn’t update for a period of days.Next issue was we couldn’t connect calls to him or he couldn’t connect to us on and off every so often. We had issues receiving messages, these would come through several days later or not come through at all. Battery life is terrible wouldn’t last longer than 12 hours and that is when he wasn’t even using it to make calls or messages ( when at school) All these issues were on and off for a good 4/5 months in which time we are paying £14 per month which if we wanted to we could pay for a mobile contract but wanted to take away the distractions of using the internet etc. This all resulted in this week the watch not even turning on even though it’s been charging for 24 hours. Tried to reset and no joy. Will be cancelling the monthly subscription as not fit for purpose. AVOID!!!
