100% recomendables

These overgrips have the perfect balance between being tacky (when gripped to hit a shot) but not too sticky (so moving your grip around for different shots is not hindered). They last quite well and are great value when bought in this 12 pack. They provide decent cushioning too, are easy to put on and they stay put. Even when they start to wear they do not suddenly become very slippery, like many others I've used.

Speaking as a lifelong recreational player (4.5 USTA) with over 30 years of experience, the white Yonex overgrips are hands-down my favorites. PROS: - They are well packaged and protected from dirt and grime. Each individual overgrip has a protective film running the full length of the grip, which is then folded gently around a little piece of cardboard and wrapped, in turn, with the tape to create a neat little bundle. Furthermore, all individual grips come packaged in a stiff and sturdy ziplock pouch. Honestly, this is such a nice feature, as it keeps my tennis bag tidy and all the grips fresh and clean from dirt, lint, and clay (as opposed to the perpetual chaos of unrolled, creased, and dirty Tournagrip rolls which always used to find a way of uncoiling in my bag). - The grip’s surface is nice and tacky, without feeling sticking or like an adhesive. - They are soft and stretchy enough to achieve a tidy and crease-free fit around the butt of the handle. - Adhesive tab at grip-start is strong and makes for an effortless stretch around the handle butt. - Perfect taper at grip start. - Generous length for a long handle or to build up a shorter handle around the throat for double-handed backhand players. - Just thick and squishy enough to feel comfortable and have a touch of compression, but without feeling spongy or bulky. I use two overgrips on my rackets and I still get a nice bevel definition. - No delamination between the main material and surface tack layer, even after weeks of play. - No deeply embossed or distracting logos on grip. - Stays tacky enough for multiple sessions even when sweating a lot in hot and humid weather. NEUTRALS: - Definitely more expensive than some competitors, but I think fairly priced given the quality. - Their longevity is about average compared to their competitors. Since they are not overly tacky to begin with (in my opinion they are “just right” freshly applied), they do loose their tackiness fairly quickly. That doesn’t mean they go straight from tacky to bone-dry, rough, and slippery, just that they loose that confidence-inspiring clinginess that encourages a loose grip after about 3-4 hrs of play. My father-in-law would probably consider the grip just fine for months on end. Personally, I tend to re-grip every 7-10 days (or after about 5-8 hours of play). But then again I’m the type of person who puts on a fresh grip prior to every league match. CONS: - None at all. If like me, you grew up on the feel of the original Tournagrips (but dislike their color, find them prone to blistering, hate the way they always uncoil in your bag), have tried and despised their “Mega Tac” formulation (turns dangerously slippery the second they come in contact with sweat, are neither annoyed by nor totally convinced by Babolat and Wilson grips, then I think you might, like I did, fall in love with these Yonex overgrips. I’ve been using them exclusively for the past 3 years and couldn’t be happier with them. Final proviso: This review is specifically about the white grips, and not other available colors. It’s a common-held belief among players that colored grips tend not to perform as well as their white counterparts, due to the added dyes and color-fixatives required to create colored grips. Whether this is true or mere myth, I’ve only ever tried the white grips and so cannot vouch for other colors Yonex offers.
