Oat trailer hub seals

I rebuilt the bearings of my 5x8 solid steel deck Carry On trailer in November of 2020. The bearings were fine and just needed cleaning, repacking and appropriate adjustment when put in. However, the original seals were dried out. As this sub-model is no longer made. I want it to last as long as possible and keeping dirt and water out of the bearings serves that end. These fit well and still are doing the job over a year later. This is a dry-land trailer that carries everything from sheep manure to moving power tools and lumber. I cannot say if they would work in a boat trailer that gets submerged in water. They seem to work fine (seal the bearings) on dirt roads and salty winter highways however.

I used these seals to replace the original seals for a 30+ yr Ez-Loader boat trailer.I like the fact its packaged in pairs.This product does have dual contact (cupped) seal.Fit the 1.25" spindle perfectly.I don't have a press, but using a piece of flat White Oak to tap the seal into place worked well.The original seals were allowing water to leak in when launching the boat, we'll see if that's fixed now.Definitely will order more to have on hand (I have 3 trailers that use this size).Living in Arizona, I'll start replacing these seals each time I repack the wheel bearings.
