Before we found this stuff and put it up on our western facing windows, we were ALWAYS having so much trouble keeping our house cool. I discovered this product and picked this one because it’s a good size sheet - so many other types available are not very wide so you would have to use multiple vertical pieces to cover a larger window. We have the original single panel windows with our 1950s house because we are saving up the significant chunk of change it will take to replace the custom sizes, but in the meantime this product has made it possible to even be upstairs in our house in the summer! We put it up just before the current heat wave and even on 105 degree days we have noticed a huge difference in how cool our living room and bedrooms are despite the sun being directly on the windows. The film is easy to put up. It’s been up for a few weeks now with no signs of bubbling or peeling. We plan to do all of our windows because it will provide privacy and a nice uniform black color.My only critique would be WHY IS THERE NOT A GRID ON THE BACKING??? It would make things SO much easier for measuring and getting the right size cut for your window!

Not as dark as I'd hoped, but does the job. Easy to apply. Just remember to buy application tools as none are supplied.

Gives lots of privacy. You can see out but no one can see it. Only when it is very dark outside you can still see it. But for the daytime and evening you are good. Easy to install. Use a flat edge like a metal ruler to hold your edge to cut. A sharp utility knife works best to cut. Use lots of soapy water on the window before you put on film. Then spray again all over. Helps to keep from scratching the film while removing bubbles. Use a credit card to remove bubbles. Works great. Only drawback is that it also blocks a lot of light. If you want to keep your room cool that is great but I find it makes my room too dark. But happy for the privacy aspect.

Found film super complicated to install. Took 2 people to install, but it wasn't even sticky enough to stick onto window. When done, I found it to be too dark than expected, and also it fell off after a day. Terrible product, please buy other window filmsupdate: it fell off after a week. Did not stick to window at all, was so flimsy.
