I have read other reviews of this product. Personally,I have it for protecting my hair and skin while sleeping,not to help sweating or overheating in bed,which isn't an issue for me. I first learned of silk pillow slips during lockdown and,unaware there were other options,purchased a Blissy. It has been in constant use since then,and, probably unadvisedly,although it was advertised as possible,I laundered it in washing machine with my sheets. Now it has parted company with its zip. With hindsight I wonder why a zip was even necessary,and it is a different fabric from the pillowcase. Let's be realistic here. I know you get what you pay for,and that can often be fine. My budget now won't justify paying £50 for one pillow case,so I looked for a cheaper option. Now,these pillowcases are unlikely to be pure silk-they probably aren't,and it's true there is no label to that effect-or,indeed,any labeling at all. However,they have a lovely "silky" smooth feeling and appearance,quite unlike a cotton or linen fabric. I'm happy that they will benefit my longish hair and my skin,so I'm content with that. The item looks lovely on the bed,not wrinkly like pure silk was by morning. Also,now I have one to change with while,this time,just to be sure,I will hand wash. I like the Oxford -type construction and the more sensible pocket-closure. I wish I could afford pure silk but at the moment I'm very pleased with this item as an alternative. I think they'd make an acceptable and affordable gift for someone. Obviously ,having just received them,I can't comment on effects of laundering, but.I don't anticipate a problem. I hope these comments are helpful.

My daughter loves these but they are a bit long for flatter style pillows. If we used plumper pillows maybe the length would be perfect. Would still buy them again

These are absolutely fantastic! I had never really thought about getting a silk pillowcase but my daughter kept asking me for one. When I started looking into them I couldn’t believe how expensive they were, the main one that I saw advertised a lot must of been a popular design for a more expensive taste & I couldn’t justify spending the money. I did find out that they were meant to be beneficial to the skin, hair and to your sleep…… when I saw these ones I could not believe the price, I ordered them but didn’t tell anyone as I was not expecting them to be of any quality for the price I paid but they are amazing & no one has even noticed any difference.. they are a great size, they look and feel like the real thing, they certainly feel like i have paid a decent amount of money for them. They wash fantastic too. I’ve even bought more so that me & my daughter have them in white & pink for when they need washing.I can not fault them at all. They are perfect. I have even purchased some to go with a Christmas gift too..

Lots of comments about these not being pure silk, well you're not going to get that at this price but I've been very pleased with them. Keep me cool and help with the frizz in my hair.

I like the soft texture but it can very cold during winter.
