READ WHY I FEEL DOOR ALARMS ARE A MUST HAVE WITH KIDS
I debated on buying door alarms for too long. I had 2 boys... 2 under 2 is no joke hard work. Everything in our home was "babyproofed" EVERYTHING! We didnt do enough though... We stopped at the door alarms. Tragedy happened one day. I took the boys out to feed a bird... Out a door we never use. When we came in I failed to lock the top bolt like I ALWAYS do... ALWAYS. while I was tending to my older son, his younger brother slipped outside, I can only assume to chase the bird that was still hanging around when we came back in. I didnt hear him open the door... He was gone for about 5 minutes before I noticed that eerie "too quiet" lack of noise in the house. I found him almost immediately in the pond across the street from our house. I immediately began CPR and he came back to us for 28 hours but past away the next day. I am putting this in my review because door alarms would have saved his life. I debated about buying these too long. I thought... I am a giod mom and the doors are always locked where they cant reach them anyway so other than the chime annoying people, I dont need them... I am a good mom. I thought that there was no way one of the boys could "sneak out" without me noticing.... That happens to people that dont watch their kids as closely as me.... AND THE DOORS ARE ALWAYS LOCKED! I did everything I thought I needed to to keep them safe. Bathroom doors licked... My room locked... Outlets covered, cabinets and drawers locked, oven door and fridge doors locked... Everything anchored to the walls from furniture, tvs and appliances... We thought of everything... Except the doors. I even had a gate in the laundryroom doorway even though I knew they could knock it down... The reasoning was that I would hear it come down and be alerted to it... I stopped at door alarms and now my darling baby boy is gone at 19 months, 3 days and 38 minutes of life.Shortly afterwards I did order these alarms because I am no longer under the dillusion that these types of things happen to someone else and I still have another son to care for and keep safe.Please... If you dont order these, order a different set but get them. Even if there is no water near you, there are countless dangers outside. I am begging you if you are a parent... Please... Get door alarms as that extra layer of protection for your baby. I am begging you and praying you never go through the trauma of losing your baby... Knowing there was something you could have done to prevent it... Something so easily.Perhaps if I read such a review when I was debating about buying thembor not, I wouldnt have hesitated and my little Max would still be here. Yes they are loud and yes at times they are annoying but I will take that anyday over the alternative. Every time i open the door and hear that (incredibly loud) chime, I know it is for the best. I can hear it anywhere in the house. I wish I had gotten them sooner... I wish someone had mentioned them to me along with typical babyproofing gadgets.

Peace of mind
Used the on the windows and doors while on my extended trip in Jamaica so that I was alerted if someone opened a door or window.

Thumbs up - good (very good in fact) but not great
This is plenty loud. It should scare the pants off a would-be intruder. Problem is it is so loud that I can see the chime annoying my neighbors every time my screen door is opened. I swear it's like Christmas bells ringing all through the complex. The screen door was just a bonus: the main reason I purchased these is so that I could feel comfortable sleeping with my bedroom window open. I live in an apartment that does not have central air. So sleeping with window open in 80+ degree desert weather is a MUST. I use this along with other security measures (make shift bars that I fashioned using 1/8 diameter steel rods). I have taped the smaller piece to my screen and placed the larger piece on my window ledge that way if the screen is removed the alarm will start to holler and awake me from sleep. The reason I don't give this product 5 stars is due to the following "Cons":1) Doesn't include a volume control option. There should be a way to control the volume. As I noted earlier the chime is so loud that I'm sure that I'll eventually receive a complaint from one or more of my neighbors. I have a couple of neighbors who are prone to persnicketiness.2) Doesn't meet the tamper proof test. The manufacturer should have included a way to hang these using brackets to make tampering with these much more difficult. Once the screen door alarm, both pieces can be accessed from outside my apartment, which makes the unit susceptible to theft, unfortunately. Anyone can remove both pieces and abscond.

Wow are these alarms loud!
I wanted loud alarms and these most certainly are!The only issue I have is with the adhesive... which isn't good. My suggestion is to use Gorilla Glue double-sided tape. It is the strongest tape out there and I use it for my Simplisafe alarms and motion sensors also.

Sabre vs Noopel vs GE window alarms
Summary: Noopel & GE recommend, Sabre DON’T recommend.I live in a mixed urban neighborhood and my new apartment has more windows such I shopped for additional alarms to augment the Sabre & GE brands I already had buying first more Sabres, then because the Sabre units performed badly I purchased several Noopel units.I’ll start with Sabre Wireless Home Security Alarm as I have the most of these. I purchased them on the basis of Amazon reviews at two intervals a year apart such I have experience with them. I found them WEAK & VARIABLE. Even on the stronger units the alert isn’t enough to wake me if sleeping, many units have such a weak alarm that I might not hear it in another room with the TV on.Sabre’s weakness prompted me to return to Amazon for an alternative and I bought Noopel Magnetic Entry Sensor as a replacement. BIG difference, these you can hear at a level likely to chase an intruder off and alert the neighbors to turn on their lights. I liked these enough that I repurchased more as Sabre replacements.GE Personal Security Alarm – Earlier I had purchased a pack of GE’s from Amazon and have over a year’s experience with them and would recommend. They still have a loud shriek and would serve their purpose to scare an intruder and wake you to the danger.ON/Off placement. The 3 brands differ in where they locate the on/off switch with Noopel and GE placing theirs on the outside for easy access. Sabre locates their switch on the INSIDE such you must take the battery cover off to access the switch – both awkward and easy to lose your batteries. The Noopel & GE placement is superior in my judgment.Overall I’m disappointed in the Sabre’s I bought. In fairness I tried new batteries and purchased more than one set a full year apart – no volume, no deterrent. Noopel is new and I can’t comment on longevity, but out of the package – they WORK. GE I have long experience and they have both better design & better performance than Sabre.

Very good value for your money
Excellent set of alarms, way better than the smart "alarm" sensors with the same functionality but without the smartness. The sound is quite loud, you could hear it from one end of your corridor bedroom to the front door (approx 13m) on chime mode, and more if you set it on alarm mode. It comes with four batteries internally installed, you just remove the front cover and switch left for chime mode or right for alarm. I recommend setting alarm on windows / doors / entrances you never enter / exit since it's a hassle to remove it. The stickiness of the adhesives that come with it aren't super-glue quality, so you can re-apply it to other surfaces; however, it does seem like it would fall down if you put it on an oily surface, or one with tape or lots of moisture - so setting it on alarm mode with such circumstances could cause you to wake up at night. It has a 2.2cm detection range between the sensor and the block, installing it on recessed doors is a little hassle but it's pretty easy for a DIY system. The sound is localized, so you can't really pair it up with smart phones or home security systems unless you have a sound detection system connected to IFTTT applets; I have no qualms about this product. One thing is, if you open the door - it will sound it, but not when you close it unless the approximate distal range between the two magnetic sensor/controller is far enough so that it registers as 'door' opening twice. I use it in chime mode for my shop.

1 came dead on arrival but otherwise a great (non smart) supplement to smart home tech
These work great on any door/window etc when contact is broken between what I assume are magnets either a single chime or a constant alarm sounds (you pick the sound via switch). They stick great but are hard to get off and reuse if you dont line them up right. They are switch operated and need to be turned on and off by hand or just left on at all times (can be annoying if you want to alarm the front door at night but not have it blare everytime you go in and out during the day)We use similar devices through the Ring smart home but got these to supplement the more expensive smart sensors on non essential entryways. We also have them on a door Rings didnt fit because these are slimmerOnly issue I had was one didnt work out of the box but I didnt bother contacting anyone to resolve the issue so cant comment on their customer service

Great little security alarm
This is my 3rd order of these. I was a bit sceptical but we are happy with the ease and functionality of these alarms. The alarm itself is loud enough to deter an intruder. The adhesive pads were great even though most reviews are poor. I used windex to clean the surface first and thet are secure even after opening and closing the battery hood a few times to test their strength. I have 2 more windows to go so I will order more.

Good but not great
It’s too bad you have to remove the battery cap to turn on and off. If I had known I probably would’ve gotten something else as he batteries fall out if your not careful and those little suckers are a pain to put back inn . Otherwise it’s a good product in sound and I feel more secure having it on my bedroom window for my two year old.

Not As Advertised, DB Ratings Are Not Accurate, Not Loud At All
The wireless door alarms are easy to install that is where this product stops with an accurate description. The alarms are ISO certified and this should be revoked. The alarms are not a 120 DB at all you can stand beside them and have a normal conversation, very disappointed at how loud they are. 6 people ranging from the age of 13-70 can't even hear them in the other room on the same floor of our home with all doors open and in an open concept house 25 feet away. Thinking it was one alarm we tried the others as we had purchased two 4packs, tried the other package same result. To let you know more our 2 dogs don't even move or look around from the sound of the alarms and they hypersensitive to noises. Would give no stars if I could.
