This is truly pretty and it works. Challenging to assemble... be careful with the small parts.

I get my Dad these wooden puzzles for Christmas, his birthday, and any other occasion I can. He's 82 years old, and I think these are good for keeping his mind sharp. He loves putting these puzzles together. They can be frustrating at times, there's so many small pieces that have to just fit together precisely. But he is persistent and figures it out. This particular puzzle is great because the motion is stronger than the others (train, car, coach with horses) so it goes faster and farther. Highly recommend.

I have done 6 of these kits and this one was the most fun. Rokor has quality and ease of assembly totally dialed in. I helped my brother-in-law with this one - his first. He smiled the whole way. Took about 8-9 hours over three days.The quality and precision was amazing. If you are very careful with instructions - think it out three times and smooth the edges of all gears, it will work. Lots of wow's and smiles when the the spring was wound and the whole contraptions flew across the floor. One wind will give you about 8-10 ft.I would consider this one an intermediate level kit.

Bought this for our 13 year old daughter who enjoys putting together various kits and robotics. She became very frustrated with it while building and the pieces would not stay together. Normally she’s really good with these types of projects. The parts ended up sitting in her room for 3 months before we threw the thing in the garbage. Maybe it is for some people but wasn’t for us. Beware before you waste your money on this.

I can testify that moms and wives also enjoy this puzzle. It took several hours to assemble it by myself but that is part of the fun. It takes some adjusting of the many gears to get it to work just right. They give you extra pieces in case some break. The final product is really beautiful on the shelf and pretty amazing to see in action. I love the little details like the telescope and anchor.
