Works fine for my water softener drain
The softener drain needs to have an air gap if discharging into a sewer line or floor drain. Since my water softener's maximum drain rate is only 2.2 GPM, this air gap worked fine with a T into the humidifier's 3/4" drain line which went to a floor drain. Because of the location of the floor drain, I decided to use an inline gap instead of just holding the drain line away from the floor. Note to be careful (I should have known better) if using a wrench on the bottom of the unit to tighten a connection on the top. I got an internal crack that initially was fine when I tested the softener discharge but then leaked when the softener recycled during the night.

Great product! AND
Great product! AND....great support. I had a difficult routing of the drain and they engineered me out of a bind. Good company!

Be careful
Water just flowed right out the opening.....I may be an idiot, but this product seems like a really bad idea unless the water is just trickling out of hose.
