Basic Herb Pack Rice Heating Pad Microwavable Reusable Heat Pack with Herbal Aromatherapy Fill, Freezer and Microwave Safe for Hot and Cold Therapy, Nighttime Blue

I love the Nature's Approach Aromatherapy Basic Herb Pack! I have purchased this in the past, and this year I bought three of them together - one for me, one for my sister and one for my mother-in-law (who is 95 years old).My hands get cold a lot, especially in the winter. I heat the pack up and hold onto it while sitting under a blanket watching TV. I also use it to take the chill out of my bed sheets at night. I hop in bed with the heated pack and it warms me right up pretty quickly. Under the blanket, it stays warm for a long time. It is very soothing. My sister is really enjoying her heat pack, too. She didn't know how much she would like it until she started using it.This heat pack works great and lasts a long time. I can't remember how long ago I purchased the first one. My husband uses it on his knee when it is sore. This is a great pack at a great price. You will love it!

The fabric is very pretty and it smells great -- sort of like Sleepy Time tea -- but there are some loose stitches, and the bag is only half full. I understand it not being completely stuffed, but the empty space means that if it's not resting completely flat, you get a lot of empty space where the filling falls away as it settles. It stays hot enough to soothe sore muscles for about 15 minutes and then is warm for a while after that. It would be a great product with a little improvement.

I absolutely love this herb pack! It is big enough to cover both my thighs, stomach, and back. Which has made it both the perfect heating pad & ice pack. Last night was my first night sleeping with it over my eyes and I had an incredibly relaxing night of sleep. No bags under my eyes and I was able to fall asleep really quickly. Make sure to keep the bag it comes in because it's used to retain its freshness!

Received yesterday and tried it out. 1) The aroma is very strong - I'm not one to be sensitive to smells but after using for just 10-15 minutes I developed a headache from the aroma and 2) after putting in the microwave for a minute as the directions indicated, it is lukewarm - it doesn't develop a strong enough heat to really make a difference. I tried microwaving for a little longer as well to see if that would make a difference and no luck. This can also be used for cold therapy as well although I haven't tried that.Last thing, don't throw away the bag. It's designed for you to continue to use to expand the shelf life of the product. Long term, seems like kind of a pain in the butt to continue to bag it up after use every time rather than just sticking on a nightstand drawer to make it last.

I love this heat pack! I have constant ear/jaw pain due to my jaw joint becoming dislocated. Heat really helps with nothing else does, and I have tried other gel microwavable heating packs, but the outer plastic usually always punctures/breaks down after a while and then I get hot gel everywhere (yikes!). I've heard about using rice, but also that the smell can be unpleasant... So when I found this I was very happy! The heat actually lasts longer than the gel ones did, and the herbs make for a pleasant and relaxing scent. A lot of times I end up having to sleep with my head/jaw resting on this when the pain otherwise would keep me from falling asleep and it works perfectly for that. Overall, i am very happy with this thing :)

I have bought this product 3 times. Twice for me and once as a gift. I bought a backup to have when the first one wore out because I loved the quality of the pad. Opened the backup recently, package warmed it up, put it on my lower back and was stabbed with sticks and twigs mixed in with what ever else was in the pad. I spent 20 minutes pulling the offensive sticks through the cover and breaking down the twigs so it was usable. Very disappointed in the quality, appalled to see it went up $10 and it does not work anywhere as good as the original did. I could actually feel the moisture from the original pad and the heat does not stay nearly as long. I really wish I had keep the original and just recovered it.

I know this is strange but I originally bought this for my cats. They love things of this texture. Well, they weren't crazy about the essential oils so I threw it in my freezer and forgot about it. Recently, i badly injured my foot and this thing has been a life saver. And the facts that it has multiple uses is even better. I highly recommend getting one and having it because you never know what you'll need it for.

Very strong smell so if you can handle that then this product is nothing more than "okay" at best. It heats up quickly but it cools down just as quick if not quicker. 2 minutes in the microwave (1000 watt) gets it to the temperature of a heating pad on high. It cools down under 5 minutes to about room temperature. That in my opinion is not very convenient. I purchased this for my daughter's bad knee. I had to warm it up for her 3 times within 30 minutes and then she finally asked for me to get out the heating pad. It is something that you can make at home easily. If you are in need of around 5 minutes of heat at a time then maybe you will be more satisfied than we are. I have not tried to freeze it yet to use as a cold pack. I think my daughter has started using it as a door stop to keep her door open. For that, it works great!

After may kids broke one of my old heat sacks using it as a toy, I was so lucky to find these for my kids I have their own at very reasonable price ($12/13)! They now take very good care of them. My one son swears he needs it at bed time. Then when I let my 4yr old use it he fell asleep before I could even say goodnight! I can’t sleep with out a heat sack because my feet are always freezing. But in our Canadian winters, these are now a staple to get my kids to sleep faster:) I think every mom should have one for her toddlers! Market this product at a good price and you’ll sell tons to those living in colder places. Love the celestial print!Oh and we love the minty lavender smell. My son says it smells like tea. I drink a lot of herbal tea. I wanted to send some to my friends kids in Calgary for Xmas but the price had changed:/ I would buy a ton next year for Xmas if they were competitively priced on Amazon in comparison to other microwaveable heat sacks.If you did a butterfly print I would consider selling them in my gift shop if the price was right😉

I love the smell and the size..however the heat pad doesn't keep the heat last long. I used it most on period cramps. I have a similar one will last 15 mins of heat but this one only a good 5 mins.
