Stake holes are not drilled completly. So if you dont plan to glue but nail the track down you will need a small drill bit. I used a dremel tool to do the drilling. If you have never used flex track, look up youtube instructions.

This track flexes easily to my 22" minimum radius. It helps to have micro drills to "finish out" the partially drilled spike holes (also to add additional holes near the ends of track on curves). Also recommended: purchase the separate 12 pack of end ties for flex track that has been shortened. Remove the first four ties of the flex track and slide the new end piece onto the rails. Additional helpful hint: When installing on curves, join track sections in a straight alignment, solder the rail joints to the rails, then install on the roadbed. Rating: I've used several flex tracks in my model railroading, the last railroad using Pecos and sections of hand laid on ties. This stuff is so easy that I laid the entire 70' of track easily in two days. Highest recommendation.
