We took it on our vacation and it was wonderful. The fact we could use the space and not have to fight with ice was amazing! We could plug into the car and the move it into the hotel plug in without missing a beat. We also turned on the heater and it gets warm fast for carrying warm items. Three cooler sizes so one will work for your specific needs. We got the medium size. 4 thumbs up!!

Update 10/4/18. This product has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I have let my family borrow it and it saved the day for them when their cabin frig stopped working. I myself have used it in our vacation trip to Main and it consistently keeps the contents at or below 40 degrees. I have also used it constantly every day 24x7 to keep extra beverages cold without the need to put in refrigerator. Still using daily. Have since purchase. I keep a thermometer inside but really not necessary now. I would highly recommend this product.I am please with product tests. I am planning a week long travel and have always packed our necessary food and medicines in a collapsable cooler bag with ice. Always looking for ice replenishment. I have texted the unit three times using an ice cube tray to assist in bring the temp down. After which removing the ice tray. The Temp got to 38 degrees and remained at that temp over night while running in AC House current. I also texted in my Auto using the DC port. So far it has kept liquids cold. I have yet to try on foods or meds. I am certain it do just fine as I also plan on using a refreezable pack with it. I am pleased that it has both power cords and they can be stored away in top of cooler. It runs very quiet. I will update after our trip in late August. I am ranking it four stars until after my trip and further evaluation.

Used it to keep wine and soda cold for a 7 hour trip to NC, and used it upon arrival at a B&B that didn't have a mini-fridge. The product looks great and is well made. With the handle to one side, it latches the lid down. Both the 12V and 110 VAC cords are well hidden under one of the top circles and easily come out, or store when not used. The other circle is for the fan. There was amble room for a 2L bottle of soda, some beer bottles, wine bottles, and ice pack. We used some napkins between the glass bottles to keep them from rattling during the car trip. "Tall" wine bottles didn't fit, but the "standard" height ones do and the lid will still close if a short wine toppers are used. Colors are nice. The unit is quiet when running in the car, or room, just a low level noise, but its hardly noticeable. We left the unit on for 6 days, 24/7, with no issues. Kept beverages and water cold, at about 40 degrees as stated. We got the medium size one and would definitely recommend this item.

We got this, in particular, for our trips up and down the Alaska Highway. We gave it a four-day test on a 800-mile trip, using it in the vehicle during the day and plugging it in at night. Worked great for keeping drinks cool and hauling groceries around on hot days. Then, we hit the highway north, and traveled 3,562 miles in 5 days. The only power it had was from the vehicle's 12 volt power outlet -- no 120 volt outlet. It kept things cool throughout the trip. We were very pleased. We keep it in the vehicle to plug in after grocery shopping to keep food cool for the 2-hour drive home to our rural location. We toss in a freezer pack when we expect it to be pressed into service, and turn it on after we buy groceries. As stated in other reviews, it should not be expected to cool items, but it does a great job keeping things cool. We have yet to try the warming feature but see that as a bonus feature for winter traveling.September 2019 UPDATE: We've had the cooler for more than 2 years and it continues to be a great little unit. The 12 volt plug gave out but my husband swapped out the cord and it is back keeping our food chilled on the 2-hour drives from store to home. I even used the heater unit for a potluck and it performed well, too. We often remark what a great investment this was.

First of all I will clear up the bogus dimensions in the Product Review section: the exterior dimensions are: 17 1/4W X 11 3/4D X 17 1/2H. The interior dimensions are: 13 1/2W X 9 3/8D X 13 7/8H. Note that the interior fan housing takes up 1 3/8 of room on the left side of the lid. As a trucker, I load it up, plug it in, and it stays plugged in for the duration of the trip. I think having the interior fan to circulate the cold air makes this unit perform much better than other brands without the fan, that use convection only. The best feature about this product is the built-in dual power cords so you don't have to bother with an inverter. For those that complained about a product failure after a period of time...you should have done what I did: bought a 3-year protection plan for $10 and change. Come on!Update 11-14-18After 15 months, this unit suddenly smelled like hot electrical wiring and quit working. Fortunately, I got a full refund through the protection plan I bought. On the practical side, the long-term performance of this unit was marginal at best. I have replaced it with another brand, and the cooling fans on it are at least twice as large, and the spec is cooling 37 degrees below ambient air temperature. With an interior cab temp of 70-75F, this extra bit of cooling should be able to keep my food in the refrigerator safe zone (I use a refrigerator thermometer to monitor this).

Delivery (Amazon fulfilled order) was quick & product (Seller) was as advertised, so I’m happy. Product itself is noisier than expected (continuous whirl of the fan) & condensation drips into the cooler (which makes sense), so I just soak it up with a paper towel & let it dry out & reuse. I use it continually as my fridge while housesitting in a place w/o a fridge, most customers won’t use it non stop like me though. It’s spacious (I opted for this one over the slaughter smaller capacity size just to be safe) & it’s more room than I need. I only use it to cool & not warm so I can’t speak to this product as a warmer (why I chose the blue color as well)! ;-) I really like it has a wall plug option built in along with the cigarette lighter plug (as most folks will use it as a travel cooler & both are handy to keep your stuff cool on the way & there).
