Car Audio CD to AUX Input Adapter CD Changer for Honda Accord 2003-2012, City 2002-2011, CRV 2005-2014, Civic 2006-2012, Odyssey 2005-2010, TSX 2004-2011

I installed this in my 2006 Honda Accord. My CD player has a CD stuck in it, but who uses CD's nowadays right? I decided to give this a shot, and after youtubing a video on how to get it installed, I was able to get it done in about 20 min. It works as described, now I can just hook up my phone to the Aux cable and boom! I got music in my car again. Totally worth it.

The product works as advertised. I bought the auxiliary version, which is the one with a 3.5mm gold platted audio jack on the end. I did not buy the other models. Followed a YouTube video on how to take out the stereo, which is easy enough to do. Unfortunately my connector was in the back of the stereo, which meant I had to remove the entire unit. This added some additional time, but still pretty easy to do. I then pulled out the white connected from the factory and installed the adapter I purchased. Heard it "snap" into place. I then drilled a hole in my storage to slide the rest of the Yomikoo adapter into place. Put it all back together and hooked it up. The sound is crystal clear. No issues what so ever. I tested it with my iPhone XS and the lightning to 3.5mm adapter. The volume automatically when to max on my iPhone which distorted the sound slightly. Cutting the volume on my iPhone back to about 75% was perfect. I then used the volume adjustment on the Honda stereo. It is nice to be able to stream music throughout the car instead of just on speaker phone. To access the Yomikoo, you just hit the CD/AUX button twice. The screen comes with up CDC D1 T1. This is the signal you need to play music or whatever you like. If you have a vehicle like mine that is still kickin', buy this adapter and jump on YouTube for installation. Money well spent for such an inexpensive adapter. I have seen others anywhere from fifty to two hundred! Yikes!

This aux adapter works as expected. There are tons of installation tutorials on YouTube to follow. For me, the installation takes me about 40 minutes. The length of cable is sufficient. I hide the main "white" adapter body inside the car structure and the audio line is able to reach the cellphone placed atop of the middle AC vent. On sound quality, I do not have ears that sensitive so I feel the sound is great. Plus, when I am driving 70 MPH on highway, the noise from the adapter (if present) is buried in the background air flow noise anyway. The only complaint I have is that the jacket of the male audio port is too thick. If the audio opening of your cellphone case is not big, then the audio wire might have a hard time going through. But it is a minor issue. As long as the functions are good, I think it is worthy five stars. By the way, in case someone is confused as I am: Honda accord has a separate aux port besides the wires to CD. So, you do not need to unplug CD to get the aux adapter connected. The 1-by-2 splitting adapter is not necessary, unless you want to connect two aux devices (like one MP3 and one USB drive).

It’s overpriced for cheap plastic & thin wires, but it works. I got another one same model and brand from China for $5 shipping included that got delivered 6 weeks later then Amazon. 😂 That being said the sound quality is good, but I had a really great sound system to begin with, so far, this product didn’t hinder the sound quality like the plug in Bluetooth types. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Depending on your car type this could be super easy to install or really time consuming. I had to take apart my entire middle console, shifter knob and half my dashboard to connect this under my 6 cd-changer. If I didn’t have little girl hands, there’s no way I could’ve fit the pins in correctly underneath without throwing in the towel half way into the process. This is likely due to my specific Acura model & general lack of experience with tools in general. (You’ll probably have a much smoother experience). In the end, it’s worth it because wtf is a CD? Anyways, I added an extra layer of electrical tape to it because right out of the box, it looked like it needed some reinforcement and extra security. 6 months in still going strong.

I just installed this today on my 2006 Honda Accord EX with the NAVI and CD Changer setup. Here are my thoughts; There are good videos on youtube of how to take the console and dash apart. You WILL have to remove to take the center top off and pull the NAVI console all the way out so that you can see the entire back of the stereo. Doing the above step was not hard and the whole install only took me 30 minutes. IF you want the CD player to continue to work, you need to order the Y adapter at the same time. I DID NOT use the special plastic tools for prying the dash apart, but I could see where it would help. So far, sound quality is good and I am not getting any electrical or bleed-in as some other reviewers have said. The console and dash went back together easily and you could never tell I had it apart. Worth the money and the effort!

I bought this adapter one year ago. The installation was fine, the sound is a good quality, but the wire that plugs into your phone is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so I had to get an adapter, and the wire started going bad. The sound only comes out of my right speaker most of the time, and I have to wiggle the wire around all the time to get the sound to come out of both speakers. At first I thought it was the headphone jack to lightning adapter, but I ordered a new one and the same problem happened.

This adapter was a cheap, easy way to add aux capability to my 2006 Accord’s factory radio. I had previously done the same installations on my 1999 Accord and 2003 Element, so the process was very familiar and simple. I love Hondas and generally find most aftermarket radios to have clunky interfaces and corny aesthetics, so I appreciate that their factory head units from this era have expansion ports that can be used in this way. I opted for the 3.5mm-only option because I didn’t want to potentially introduce any power supply switching noise. Installation was a breeze and the sound is crystal clear! If you need to add aux capability on a budget, this is the way to go.

After using FM transmitter type adaptors for some years to be able to stream from my phone to the 17 year-old 'premium' factory stereo in my 2007 Honda Accord, I decided to try fitting one of these aux adaptors instead. Whilst getting to the back of the factory fitted stereo was a bit of a carry on, this adaptor simply plugs into the spare 'aux' socket on the back of the unit and away you go. The difference in sound quality (over FM transmission) is amazing - The stereo sounds 'premium' once again - I've never heard it sound so good, so very pleased with this purchase (and relieved that I've now got the dash back together again too!)

Works perfectly! For 2004 Acura TSX : Just check and connect the port is on the bottom of the radio and not behind.
