Quality of reviews made me buy this from US to AUS and it does not meet expectations. After adding ice with water still doesnt keep water cool and it is currently winter. No hope when summer comeas round.

Way to hard to hard to squeeze! I Wanted to use it for cycling but I can’t squeeze hard enough with one hand to get water out. Maybe some big guy can squeeze it that hard but totally won’t work for me for cycling. ☹️☹️

I like to put new bottles through a "freezer test" in which I fill and freeze it the night before a long ride and see how long it lasts before thawing. It's not a fully standardized method, but the conditions are held pretty constant – same bike, same bottle cage (and location), same excruciating heat 24/7/365. This is the first bottle I've actually regretted freezer-testing. 30 miles in, 90% duration above 98°F, less than 15% of the bottle had thawed (this is way less than normal, fyi). So I was stuck with an uncomfortably warm Camelbak and a block of ice for another 30 miles.Other than that, cleans well, interesting lid design, very good price. 10/10 will purchase again.

These things are so awesome. The last time I bought one was several years ago, so I don't know how "new" the current self-sealing valve is, but it works great! You can fill this all the way and leave it upside down. I didn't do an extended time test of how long it will go without leaking, but for the 5 minutes I let it sit like that it didn't leak a drop. The insulation is great! And of course it fits perfectly in your standard frame-mounted bottle cage! Totally recommended!

I have been using Polar Bottles for years, and appreciate the insulation it provides, that keeps my water cooler in the summer, even when I have it bungeed on top of my kayak. I am not really as happy with this newer style, though, as I don't like redesigned cap as well, it no longer has the handy loop, and the graphics aren't as attractive. But as far as being practical way to safely keep water tasting fresh and cool, its still a great water bottle, and worth every penny!
