Interesting setup
Comic, shojo mangaA college freshman who is deaf meets a cute young man, and as is normal, she is terribly shy and afraid of being too forward. Being deaf, she's led a sheltered life, and there's effectively a language barrier. Has potential.Years ago when I was married, my first ex-wife became fascinated with learning ASL, and took a year of classes while we were both going to college. She wanted to become a translator, but competition was fierce, and she ended up doing something else. The writers are trying their best to be respectful of the Japanese deaf community, and accurately convey the problems encountered when interacting with the hearing society around them.Artwork is clean and clear, and emotions conveyed with some of the manga tropes, like using panels containing chibi versions when people are angry or frustrated. Definitely interested in buying volume 2. Enjoyed.

This is really interesting. I really like it.
This is such a wonderful look at the day-to-day life of a college girl who happens to be deaf. Yuki is just adorable. So cute, & such a sweet girl. Itsuomi is quite handsome, & he seems like a really nice guy. I really enjoyed reading this. I had a deaf friend when I was a child. He could read lips, just like Yuki. I learned quickly to always face him when talking to him, & to say my words slowly, steadily, & with full pronunciations. No slang or slurred words! I always felt bad for him. He didn't have very many friends. Most of the other kids in the neighborhood either thought he was strange, or they made fun of him. I got in quite a numberof fights with other boys who made fun of my friend. It used to make me so mad! He was actually a really cool kid. It was sad no one wanted to give him a chance. If his family hadn't moved to NYC (from Spokane, Washington), I'm sure I'd still be his friend. So I can somewhat understand the trials that Yukingoes through. Not everyone is as patient & under standing as Itsuomi or her friend Rin. Her childhood friend is quite overprotective of Yuki. It's obvious he is holding a candle for her. I wonder how she feels about that? Or does she even know? I look forward to reading the next volume of this series!

I'm not a fan of shojo manga, but the idea of this story and the beautiful art style drew me in. I fell in love with Yuki from the first few pages. She is so adorable. I hope only lovely things happen to her on this love journey. Itsu is also a great male lead so far. He's so handsome and warm. I'm so glad I picked this up and I'm looking forward to reading volume 2.

Amazingg
I’m a sucker for good art and this manga has it. The story overall was cute since it’s unique as it has a death protagonist and a male lead who wants to learn sign language so he can communicate with her better, I mean how cute right!! And for the book itself, I’ve noticed that with these reviews there’s always a slight tiny piece of the manga that’s sorta ripped, airs kind of annoying but the story really makes up for it.
