I can't understand why people give negative reviews of Shenzhen DST Electron Technological Co replacement batteries. These batteries rock! It's possible that I'm super lucky and getting all the good batteries, but that seems unlikely. I have 7 of their batteries for various cameras, 3 purchased through Amazon, and supplied by DST Electron Technological directly.I doubt these LP-E6s are made from Panasonic NCR18500 high capacity LiCo cells of a Canon original, but they appear to work quite well. I can't review this pair's longevity, but I have 2 other sets, one is ~2.5 years old and are barely taking a charge (~300 charge/discharge) and the reason I bought this set... the other set is about a year old, at least 100 charge/discharge cycles, and still 3 bars (if you know Canon's in-camera performance/capacity ranking system = good). I don't know what standards other people expect, but to me that is an incredible value - especially for the money.Apparently there's some confusion re: are these cells decoded?Yes. Fully. See screen shot. The charger is nothing to write a fancy review of; it's a battery charger. Under load, it holds a steady 8.34V @ 600ma, well below C0.8, meaning slower charge but longer life for our cells. The charge termination seems accurate enough, although there's no thermocouple monitoring pin. But basically as a $4 add-on, I mean, it works great. It charges Canon batteries, the Canon LC-E6 charges DSTE batteries. What's not to love?The one negative thing I can say about the batteries is the mAh rating is crazy high. 2600mAh? I do not think that energy density is even possible in an 18490/18500 cell today. 2600mAh is from the future. Maybe they are 1300mAh cells and the Marketing Department doesn't know the difference between series vs. parallel topology? This is not unique to DSTE - many (/all/) Chinese battery manufacturers seem to exaggerate capacity.Pros: decoded, good capacity, inexpensive, reliable. free battery covers!Cons: 2600mAh!?! 一时强弱在于力，万古胜负在于理 !!!!(chengyu above: "force tells the weak from the strong for a moment; truth tells right from wrong all the time")---NOTE: I did not receive a discounted or free anything from DSTE, ever, nor do I work for them. I know many other uses exist for LP-E6s, including powering LED light banks, I have no idea how they will perform in such high-drain scenarios.

Good value for the price you pay, although 2 batteries gives the same stamina as one original battery, but you also get an extra light charger for the price.* Note the charger is also slower than the originalI am satisfied with this purchase, and these are great to have as backup.

One of them started going bad on me and would end up with 3 bars of a charge even when I fully charged it. Then part way during shooting it would die on me. The other battery was fine though, no real problems with it.

I've had these for years and they're consistently poor performers compared to Canon LP-E6's.Specifically they drop charge in cold temperatures and have to be warmed up (which doesn't always work) just to squeeze a few shots out, and overall have shorter charged lifespans.They're fine for casual use. If you're a serious hobbyist or pro, are traveling and will encounter cold temps, don't rely on these. They'll fail.

The Batteries charge very fast, but there is a reason. 3x times in a row while using it during an event when the battery was around 50% the camera shut off. When I turned it back on the battery was at 1%. At first I thought it was just 1 of the batteries that was bad, but no it was both. You can use it if you are in a jam, but I do not recommend on counting on it as a long shot while filming on your Canon 5D Mark iii.

***Update:Almost 2 years after I purchased this set of batteries, they are still going strong as well as the charger that they came with. Since then, I've also purchased a battery grip and the batteries are usually in there and they last a long time. I've mixed one of these batteries with a canon one in the battery grip and have noticed no difference in performance. I will definitely buy more of these batteries to have as back up. I'd give them another 5 stars if I could. I guess we can all pretend that I did.So far so good. Performs at least as good as the original canon battery. Will update review later.

I used my canon charger with one battery and this charger for the other. No time difference. I switched batteries with canon and measured bleed-out time; no time difference. Great cheap alternative.

Yes it works with the Canon 5D Mark III but it only last a 1/3 of a Canon battery. I shoot video and the Canon battery lasted 1.5 hrs each as these battery lasted .5 or 30 minutes each. But for the price it is a good deal.

I am getting the same amount of pictures out of these batteries as my OEM battery from Canon. The charger also charges my original battery. I can go an entire day of shooting video and stills thanks to these extra batteries at a fraction of the cost of Canon originals!

Not bad, battery does not last very long.

Very happy customer. I was very pleased with the product, and it most importantly the camera recongizes the battery and battery can be monitored. Overall the quality on received items was good. DSTE shipped and I received the order timely.

Battery capacity is questionable. They drain very quickly. The charger build quality is pretty inferior and it takes a very long time to charge the batteries.

This is the only after market battery works with EOS cameras.
