I tried these through a subscription company that I accidentally subscribed to.....long story 😆 and was so sad that I had to send these back (They were $80 through the subscription and pffffft...I don't spend that kind of money on jeans that are going to be covered in playdoh and spaghetti-os).BUT thankfully I took note of the company because I found these for $30 cheaper here on Amazon.ANYWAY...These jeans are perfect. They sculpt and hug and best of all, stay in place all day! They are the perfect length on my tall frame and have just enough stretch in the legs to make playing on the floor with my toddler fun. They are comfortable enough for my home days and sophisticated enough for date night. No regrets!

5'3", short torso and longer legs,128 lbs, athletic build, between a straight and hourglass figure, size 6 in shorts, small or medium in tops, typically a 29 in premium denim. Ordered a 6 regular and they fit well, wearing at least twice a week. Work from home, jeans very comfortable sitting at my desk all day, length just past ankles - good with flats, would need the long version if I wanted to wear anything with a heel. Wash on cold inside out, tumble dry low and the hang to finish drying - so far so good! Considering ordering a few more in different rinses.Ordered the white version - ran longer than the Indigo wash pair with slightly tighter fit through thigh and wider flare at the bottom. Not as flattering on my frame, returned.

Darlings, no one likes muffin tops or rolldown jeans that slouch their waistband down your stomach. Not all of us have flat physiques on par with Rihanna or many a Hollywood or Olympic star, much as we might like. Covid doesn't translate into time to workout for those of us practicing our sourdough starters, stuck inside from working out, or welded to our desks as essential workers on a salary. So, that much said, these are the most forgiving of jeans, and rejoice, because they aren't stinting for tall ladies, curvy ladies, or ladies who like colour in their pants.I've never heard of Democracy Jeans before, and frankly the wanderings through Amazon Wardrobe brought me here out of chance. Having a bootcut jean long enough for my 35" inseam is difficult, let alone a dark wash AND one without an obnoxious low rise. The waist-to-hip ratio I have is also difficult, since jeans that fit the widest part of me rarely fit the narrowest point without that irritating slip-down. Enter the Absolution; I don't know who designed them but they had my proportions and issues in mind. For one, they're stretchy, which is appreciated when weight fluctuates (especially at certain times of the month). The gossamer length of the front panels holds you in without obviously feeling like maternity wear or something, and the smooth lines fit beautifully for a mid-rise jean that stays where it ought to be. The waistband lies below the belly button and stays smoothly fitted no matter where you prance.And the length. Hello length. I can actually wear a jean at a proper length. If you're short, you may want to get the sample pair from Wardrobe because there could be a need for hemming. For once, I feel like the jean is made for height. I love how the leg remains fitted but not stovepipe or ultra skinny through the thigh, sweeping in a flattering arc out from the knee in a small bootcut that can accommodate hiking boots or equestrian boots with equal ease. I've tested both just to be sure. They're not a fully done flare, but the definition is there.Colours vary; I chose indigo (twice, actually), because the dark, rich ultramarine pops without getting anywhere near black. These jeans have zero whiskering, fades, ombre, or tears, and other such nonsense that interrupts the rich, lavish colour I want. Dark trouser jeans are acceptable at the office, ragged acid wash rejects from 1981 most definitely aren't, but I can get away with these and feel professional and stylish. Any additions are modest, retreating to a deep brass finish in the small pocket studs. I don't like a lot of bling on my jeans, and these provide the minimal necessary.I haven't found a reason to complain. They are thinner; if you want to wear a heavy-weight jean on a cold day, slap a thermal layer or a pair of leggings under them for extra care. However, in all other ways, they hit the bar for me.

I’m short, so I had to take the hem up quite a bit. The jean’s have quite a bit of stretch making the comfortable and flattering.

These are the perfect jeans. They are not too tight and have some stretch and a wide band at the top but still have a button. They are the perfect length, not short in the photo. My daughter showed up in these jeans and I like them so much I had her send me the link and now I love them too.

They are a bright white, and the denim is thick, which I like. However, they do not fit the way my other Democracy jeans in darker colors fit. I wear a size 6 regular and cut them off about 2 inches because I am petite. These jeans were way too long. The waistband is stretchy but not as stretchy as my other Democracy jeans. My main complaint is the looseness in the thigh area. These white jeans were at least 1.5 inches bigger, which made them baggy The left thigh was wider than the right. When I sat down, they sagged in the front. i returned them. I do not recommend these jeans.

Democracy is my favorite jeans!! Best fit and soooo comfortable!!!

These are my absolute favorite jeans. They run a little big so if you're between 2 sizes, buy the smaller size. They are high waisted and have stretch to them.
