VERIZON is a cheat and theif
Prior to purchase of the 760 I checked with VERIZON and was told that there was no problem to transfer my account to the 760 even when informed that it was no longer supported. After purchase, the story changed. Was unable to activateVERIZON rep then went on to PUSH an item that was not compatible. When found out after purchase, return fees exceeded original item cost WHY is an activation fee considered in a RESTOCK charge??? CHEATS at the least. BAD operation to do business with. VERIZON is TOOO big.

Works slowly on Linux
It took a lot of wrestling to get the micro-sim from Verizon to get it to plug into this card which uses nano-sim. (Mostly spent that time getting the micro sim out after accidentally installing it without an adaptor tray.)But after that, Linux just detected the modem as a network device and it connected just fine. (Maybe you have to find the right APN by googling, but top results basically had the answer in bold letters)The only problem I have is that it’s about one fifth the speed of the performance of an iPad using the same sim. So instead of 50 Mbps, I’d get 10 Mbps. This used to be really fast but now it’s noticeably slow. Hard to remember the last time when pieces of a webpage gradually rendered over several seconds… until I saw it again using this modem.Definitely works very easily, but performance is very very slow compared to what’s normal in 2021.

These still have good value
Made my own version of a mifi hotspot with this and a little portable WAP from TPLink. What is nice about the combo, over something like a netgear jetpack or similar battery operated product, is that not having a battery mean it can operate for months on end with no user attention needed. Just threw a jetpack SIM card in there, hooked it up to PC first to make sure it worked and was connected, then attached it to the miniWAP and logged into that to make sure it recognized the USB modem, and it was up and running. Worked much better in terms of reception than jetpack too.

Was not as expected
There was no cd for the program and no sim card with it al,so to me it is a piece of junk When I buy something,I expect to more or less to plug and play, and yes I am a Verizon customer and when I got my old USB727 and had it for years and is a 3G and had absolutely no problems what so ever and did not have to contact Verizon to get connected what so ever.To say the least i am disgusted!

Not a plug 'n' play solution, can only work with computers
Requires special program to install and operate. The device does not come with the disk to install said program. This alone defeats much of the purpose of this device, as you will need internet to download the program to run this device so you can have internet.Once I got the device running, it seemed to work fine. Would not work on my xbox, as the program to use this device cannot be installed on my xbox. Returning, as my phones hotspot is a better and more universal solution.
