Australian GoldInstant Sunless Mousse, Carmel, 6 Ounce

I have been searching for a relatively inexpensive gradual/cream/subtle self tanner for winter for a while. I always use La Mer/Soleil Face and Body Gradual Tan for my face (same as in summer, but with St Moriz dark mousse for my legs), but I didn't want to waste La Mer on my legs, which are mostly covered this time of year. I was hesitant to try this one because I am not super familiar with the brand and this particular gradual self tanner doesn't seem to be as widely sold/reviewed in the US as others, but I am so glad I tried this!! On me, the color payoff is almost nearly a perfect match to my naturally medium tanned arms. The color produced was a light to medium toasty brown, no orange on me, minimal yellow (though my legs are naturally sallow this time of year so any tinges of yellow may just be my natural tone); definitely a bronze color as described. I really like the moisturizing aspect of a cream self tanner for winter and this application wasn't that much more involved than mousse (which I got very used to over the summer with St Moriz), except the guide on this is much lighter (i.e., dark cream color) so you want to be careful to do circular application all over to cover everything. I also apply moisturizer ahead of application on feet, ankles, knees, dry spots, etc. I exfoliate well the night before, and during application I wear surgical gloves. I didn't notice any transfer on clothes or sheets but used dark/old ones to be safe. Next day I noticed no streaks/missed spots. Cream is thick but blends pretty well. I go very light on my knees (because this color seems more noticeable there) and I applied a bit extra on my lighter shins (since I'm trying to even everything out). Smell was not bad at all - funny how people describe it all different ways; seems citrusy to me overall and I notice a small bit of 'self tanner smell' even after showering it off the next morning, though this doesn't bother me. Since I'm going for a subtle tan (not like what I do over the summer), I only need to do one application. My skin feels great and the color lasts me about 4-5 days and so far has been fading evenly. This product really does check off all my boxes and as soon as I realized this was the best color/gradual tanning product for me, I went ahead and bought another tube. I am pleased this worked out because the next product on my list to try was Tan Luxe's gradual tan or tan butter, and I really didn't want to spend that much money if I didn't have to. FYI - The other cream tan products I tried on my legs that were good (but not as good a color match on my legs as this one) were: Coola, Loreal Paris Sublime Glow, Ulta Morning Glow drops, Tanceutical, and Nivea Sun Radiance. UPDATE: After some repeated use, I observed more transfer of color right after showering than I'd like, so you will want to avoid long hot showers and pat dry (don't rub). I'll admit I'd rather use a product that makes me less tan and with less transfer.

Love this product. Beautiful color in a short time. Could see the difference after one application. Smooth and silky and feels good on my skin. I play golf - live in Oregon, so no tan when it's time to wear shorts and capri's. This did exactly what I wanted. I am 75+ years and need a little bit of glow and color. Thank you Australian Gold for helping me feel better about myself. Very satisfied!!!

The product is okay but the box got wet and leaked into the inside.

I ordered two of the Australian Gold Sunless tanning lotions. They arrived, apparently from two different sources. One was perfect, just as I had expected it to be as this is NOT the first time I've used this product. The second tube was just like pouring water into my hand. It's a good thing I had my hand over my bathroom counter, otherwise my floor (carpet) would have had this stuff all over it. I don't know if this had, at some time been frozen or what, but it's useless. I went ahead and used it on my legs and could tell zero difference in color, just like using a regular lotion. the other tube has been fine. The color is subtle with a single use, which is how I use it. I'm pretty sure that if I would apply it daily the color would deepen. As for the other tube...wasted money. After seeing that it was useless as a tanning product, I threw it away.

This is pricier than I wanted to spend, but I'm glad I took the gamble. It paid off. I hate the smell of most gradual tanners. Even if it smells pleasant in the bottle, after application, the smell becomes similar to produce on the verge of spoiling. This one has a pleasant smell going on AND after application. I like it more than the cheaper versions because the tan is more apparent and seems to kick in faster. It blends well and doesn't settle into cracks like the cheaper versions. I'm a fan!

I’ve had these for a couple of weeks, and works well. I’m not trying to the tan look, just to enhance my skin. I use it on the lower part of my legs, and top of feet. My thighs are slightly darker, and with this it evens it out. I also use it on my upper arm and shoulders, since my lower arm is expose more. Instead of have the 2 tone look, it evens it out. OH!, and none of that ‘Chemical tan solution’ ordor!! Nada!! All day smell free!!

I don’t wear self tanner normally but I wanted to have a little color so I decided to try this. I get sun poisoning so real tan is not an option. I put the lotion on 3 days in a row and my legs have a little color. It does have a self tanner smell but it doesn’t bother me too much. My hands stained but I didn’t wear mitts so I’ll try that next time.

Io non ho molta pazienza nello stendere con cura la crema, ma basta davvero una minima accortezza per avere un bel colorito senza macchie. Veloce e pratico.Attenzione se si mettono capi bianchi poco dopo perché si macchiano

La crema è performante e non ha il classico insopportabile odore di autoabbronzante, anzi profuma di Ananas! L'abbronzatura è progressiva. 5 stelle!

Broncea en un par de aplicaciones, te puedes vestir casi al instante, no mancha la ropa y huele bien

I discovered Australian Gold products a few years ago, ironically on holiday in Daytona Beach in Florida in Walgreens Pharmacy. I have used them religiously ever since. This gradual tan goes on very easily, very creamy texture, a light scent (most self tans stink), a 10p size of product will cover 1/2 your leg no problem. You can't really see it going onto to your skin as it isn't a dark colour, you will know yourself as it is easily absorbed and you can feel where you have put it on. I have often put it on after a shower, let is dry in while I style my hair, clothes on and away. It doesn't stain your clothes and you won't stink all day at work!
