I was looking for a sealed compost
I was looking for a sealed compost, because I was tired of having a cloud of flies everywhere everytime I open the compost. This compost has a sealed cap and I never saw a fly since. The ability to collect "compost juice" is also interesting, since we live in an apartment, but I often find some white mold in the juice for some reason..Anyway, I'm very happy with this product, if you look for a sealed compost (especially if you live in an apartment), this is definitely the compost to go!

Best one available but pricey!
I looked EXHAUSTIVELY, all over the inter webs, for a bokashi composter. My criteria were durability and something I could keep on kitchen counter! My biggest issues with other bokashi bins were that they either ugly (often had GIANT PRINTED LABELS on them and/or looked like something that belonged in a garden shed) or had over-engineered spigots that frequently leaked. The Skaza Organic is a lovely composter - lovely, classic design with sturdy outer and inner bins, and a very simple but effective drain system - simply a screw-on cap that is very easy to put on or off with a single twist. To drain, simply tilt the bucket away from the drain, pop the cap off, tip forward into a cup, replace cap, done. It looks lovely on the counter of my kitchen in an open-plan house, where a horse-feed bucket would look out of place. The only real drawback is the price, as this one ships from Finland! And since one REALLY needs two bins (one to fill, the other to ferment for 2 weeks after filling), this does give me a little pause. I bought one just to try it, and now need either a second Bokashi or a less expensive one to keep elsewhere for aging, into which we could dump the stuff from our Skaza? Not yet sure what we'll do. Another price-saver I plan is to make my own bokashi starter - it's expensive to buy, but there are many DIY videos on YouTube on how to make our own for a small fraction of the price.
