Warlord Games Bolt Action American M8/M20 Greyhound Scout Car 1:56 WWII Military Wargaming Plastic Model Kit

Came shipped in another box, no damage from Amazon. Overall pretty pleased Amazon shipped it so well to be honest. Bought others that came in a plastic bag and box was smashed.

This model kit is a product from a joint venture that Warlord Games and Italeria Models have made for the purpose of manufacturing quality 1/56 scale military vehicle kits from the World War II era. It has been a win/win situation for the two companies; Warlord can market more economical vehicles for its Bolt Action game and Italeria has been able to expand sales into a new scale for subject matter that is usually dominated by either 1/76 or 1/35 scales.The kit itself is superb. Parts fit together cleanly, instructions were clear and there was there was no extra flash on any of the sprues . I was pleasantly surprised by the relatively high level of interior detail so you would assume a slam-dunk five pointer review, right?...not necessarily.I get kits in this scale for use in gaming - gaming with my friends, sons, grandsons, and nephews. While this kit makes a nice display piece, it doesn't bear up under table-top game play - even a moderate amount. With a traditional styrene model kit I have found it far too easy to snap off wheels, antennae, gun barrels - ANY bit that extends out from the hull - during the frequent handling that comes about with gaming. For that reason I prefer the more durable cast resin/metal kits that Warlord also manufactures. The resin kits also take less assembly time which also appeals to me as my prime goal is game-play rather than modeling.

The kit was mostly good, but has a couple minor problems. On the who-really-cares side of things the interior stowage should be able to be flipped between the m8 and m20, but on the forget-this-worthless-kit I couldn't get the gun barrel through the mantlet to the appropriate fitting, and in my multiple attempts to do so it broke the barrel in two places. There is zero reason why that small part should have caused such a problem with no noticeable flash or any other obvious issues.

The product is great but Amazon shipped the product in a terrible way so items box was completely destroyed I’m lucky the product was fine.
