Lizard Lips SPF 22 Lip Balm - Original Vanilla 4 Pack (4)

I've been loyal to this "Original Vanilla" since I was introduced to Lizard Lips at Olympic National Park. During a week's trek and the sun exposure, my usual didn't pffer the protection anymore. I went to the local natural grocery store, Country Aire Natural Foods, for their recommendations. They recommended Lizard Lips right away. Since then this has been my go-to whether I'm in town or in the wilderness.Amazon sent me different flavors or the organic version by mistake a few times and I ended up trying those. However, the formula seems to be a bit different from the original. For me, this original vanilla provides the best protection. I'm not much of a vanilla flavor person but their vanilla is rather subtle, just a touch of sweetness.By the way, if you ever travel to Olympic NP, don't forget to check out Country Aire in Angeles (the gate city of Olympic NP). They are a pretty cool grocery store, I complimented they actually beat Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco (legendary natural grocery store) and how impressive their curation was. Their produce is top notch and they have delicious to-go lunches as well. The lunch options around the park are limited and rather old-school American offerings. They saved my overall health with their fresh food.

This is my favorite lip balm and that's saying something since I'm a lifelong lip balm freak. I only buy lip balm with SPF. Life lesson learned after getting 2nd degree sunburn on my lips, and I have the scars to prove it. This product feels amazing, keeps my lips protected, and doesn't have that gross sunscreen taste that a lot of other products have. I've lost count how many times I've reordered this product. One of those few products I recommend all of the time and will always be a staple product for me.

I have tried several lip balms and chapsticks and this is by far my favorite. My mom and I buy multipacks every couple of months and split them because it’s our absolute favorite. This stuff actually hydrates your lips while protecting them from the sun. It also tastes great and smells so good other people will comment on it.

I've been using this 2-3 weeks now. I got it specifically to use while cycling, as that's the only time I need sunscreen lip balm. In the past I used Chapstick's sunscreen lip balm with good results. However, at some point I needed more but I couldn't find it. So I tried Banana Boat but I couldn't stand the taste. Went back to Chapstick, but now their formula has changed (or maybe I have?) and it now tastes bad to me. I came across this (Lizard Lips Original Vanilla) and gave it a try. So far I like the taste. I have no way of testing their SPF 22 claim, but I haven't noticed any darkening and definitely no burning of my lips. Would be nice if they sold it in a smaller pack. But going by the reviews on Amazon, I'm not the only person who has struggled to find a sunscreen lip balm that doesn't taste bad. If you're in this group, give Lizard Lips a try.
