Teaching aid -yes; open library book - not so much
I thought it was great but my students did not totally agree. I found that I had to use it in teaching situations rather than as an open activity that students were interested in pursuing during reading exploration. So, as a teaching aid, I found it useful but as a book that students would gravitate to as a free time reading activity, not quite as useful

Book has no works. Just photographs that make no sense to kids.
Book has no words. Just a bunch of boring photographs that does not interest children.

ok
It is ok! I bought this book for my Kindergarten class. It was coming up in my math curriculum so in a hurry I purchased it without really looking at the previews or pages. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO READ!!!

Relying on Delivery
My school recently adopted a program which incorporates specific children's books into the lesson plans. Most of the books are provided but a few titles weren't. I started with Amazon's selections, ordered the books I was needing for upcoming lessons and everything I needed was received timely, in perfect condition and because I ordered while Amazon was offering a 4 for the price of 3, I received free books as well. Thank you Amazon!

Lovely images but not a math book
Tana Hoban’s photographs of the everyday are, as always, beautifully composed, but as a study of number comparison, this book is confusing. For example, an image of breads contains six complete but different sized loaves, one of these loaves is broken into two pieces, and then there is an additional partial loaf. Young children faced with even counting the number of loaves will have a difficult time; yet learning to compare numbers is a task for very young children. The book is lovely, but it should not be considered a math book.
