Loved it
I loved this book. I was a little down on this writer after Lessons of Desire. This book really restored my faith in Ms. Hunter. Great romance and mystery. If there is one quibble I have in this book, it is that things are still kind of up in the air at the end. This seems to be a trend with Hunter and is not limited to this story. I like my happily ever after to stretch well into the foreseeable future. The ending had a little too much realism to my liking. On the other hand, the realistic characterization is one of the things I like best about this writer. I guess I have to take the good with the bad.

Another hot book from Madeline Hunter
I read this book in a single night - shouldn't have started it after I got home from work because I didn't finish it til about 2:00 a.m.! The story was wonderful, the characters are wonderful, I enjoyed it immensely.A well-written, intriguing story is so satisfying to a romance junkie like me. I highly recommend all of Ms. Hunter's books but I thought this one was especially good. I look forward to her next book, due out late 2006.

Hunter 1
Old stories written by dead authors, new stories written by authors still alive, can be just as good to read today as they were when written. Reading about Regency England is my favorite time period to enjoy. I picked this story because the author's style of storytelling matches my reading interest level. A sexually involved story to make the mind think.
