Beautiful, for younger kids, or families with less kids
As a home school veteran with 4 kids, I should have known better than to deviate from my all time favorite, most useful, best laid out for our family home school planner. This one was so beautiful though, and my favorite one is pretty outdated. This one is lovely, well thought out, simple and just wonderful. It would be perfect for "homeschooling" preschool or kindergarten to very early elementary. But with one High Schooler, 2 Jr. High Schoolers, and an upper elementary "student" ... there is just not enough room for thoughtful, legible, plans per day. I need more columns to differentiate children.

It’s what’s on the inside that counts.
Having used the Peaceful Press Homeschool planner (the downloadable printable version), I was very excited to get my hands on the pre-printed, bound, and tabbed version. It is indeed elegant and organized. It makes me excited to document our homeschool year and events in it!I love how the pages offer prompts to help add some organization to your month/week, yet are open-ended enough to allow freedom to use it uniquely. The tabs are immensely helpful as it will drastically help me to quickly get where I need more easily and I like that I don’t have to add in my own tabs like I did on my own printed version. Some cons:After reading a few reviews of the tabs being damaged in shipping and through use, I can see how this issue will likely arise. The tabs are indeed no more than a thick cardstock that were already slightly frayed and bent on arrival. Over time, the tabs will not likely hold up to being bumped and bent from taking into and out of a bag or purse. My plan is to write the months on the paper tabs and then reinforce with clear tape. Problem solved (hopefully).Another flaw in the design is the lovely black cover. I absolutely love the black and gold color combination, but the black cover shows it all. Scratches, smudges, dents and dings. So the loveliness sadly will only last a short time. Maybe a white cover or a blush, cream, lavender, coral.... any soft tone light color would be better in the future. It would maintain its loveliness as well.Overall, this planner is going to make our homeschool year much more organized (at least on paper) and I am looking forward to using it! I would buy it again because I like the format of the planner, the prompts and I like the size. The design flaws are minor in my opinion as I can easily reinforce the tabs and the dinged and smudged cover will simply remind me that even if life is a bit messy, it’s what’s inside that counts. And what’s inside will be a whole lot of memories, accomplishments and things to be proud of. That’s what the journey is all about, and I’m happy to have this planner to document it!

Arrived all scuffed up with bent tabs
I just received this “beautiful” planner, but it came loose in a box. The front and back covers were ALL scuffed up, which showed even more since they are black. Half of the monthly side tabs were also bent. For $19, I expected them to be reinforced but the thin paper tabs won’t last all school year. The layout and font may be nice, but for this price, I am so disappointed in the product and how it was delivered.

A little disappointing, but I’ll keep it.
This planner is a little less than I expected, but it’ll work. On the actual weekly pages, there’s a table for a menu, but it’s a tiny grid. Write minuscule words and you should be fine. There are also boxes labeled “school”, “home“ and “work”. Not sure what purpose they serve. I’d rather not have the space delineated for me. I wish the “at a glance” spaces were larger, and created room to write out lesson plans. I bought it for the purpose of organizing my homeschool curriculum, not to do everything. I’m also not a fan of the “Monthly Goals” page. I’d like the freedom to choose the type of goals to set, if any. It’s kind of presumptuous to choose them for me.The tabs are not laminated, and since my planner arrived without any packaging, they were already bent up, and the cover was scratched. Did I get another person’s return? The colors are pleasant. The cover is sturdy and I like the simpler style. I’d rather not have the inspirational quotes, but they’re fine. Thankful that it’s not pre-dated. I don’t know if it’s worth the cost, but it’s too much of a hassle to return it.

Disappointing, not helpful
Arrived scuffed and damaged with bent rings and bent tabs. Was already disappointed and then I opened it... the weekly portion makes for a decent planner but has nothing homeschool specific! Was expecting there to be columns for days with rows for subjects like other similar products. If they had put a picture in the listing, I never would have purchased. Hope I can save others some wasted time by sharing this pic. Returning immediately.
