So much quieter, and shaves closer, better and smoother than my old Remington
I've been using "buzz" (non-rotary) shavers for decades now. I've tried Braun and Remington. I've had my old Remington F5800 for almost 10 years, and have replaced the foil and cutters many times, using only genuine Remington replacement parts. I typically shave every day and my beard is not very full (although it seems to grow quickly). Recently I felt that my Remington shaver was not dong a very good job on my beard, so I started to shop for a replacement. I looked at Remington and Norelco shavers, but I read on a shaver review site that the "buzz" shavers (generally) shave closer than a rotary shaver. That same site recommended Panasonic shavers over Remington shavers. So after some searching on Amazon, I bought this Panasonic ARC3 Electric Razor. The item came nicely packaged and came with an AC charger, a small cleaner brush, and a small bottle of cutting oil. I charged the shaver for an hour (per the directions) and then unplugged the charger to use the razor in cordless mode (because you can't use the razor while it is charging).Wow I'm impressed! This Panasonic is quieter and smoother than my Remington ever was, and it shaves more easily and closer too! The shaving head of the Panasonic has multiple degrees of articulation (it hinges in multiple directions) and is very comfortable to hold. It has a built-in thumb rest and includes a clear plastic cover to help protect blades in the shaver head. And no razor burn on my face either. Why did I wait so long? Well now that you know, you don't have to wait, just go ahead and buy it!

Best Electric Razor So Far
I've been using electric razors for over 40 years now and have owned Remington, Norelco, Braun and Wahl shavers. I've gotten the best shaves out of the Remingtons and Brauns I've had in the past. Most recently had a third go around with a Remington model I've had good success with. It was a dud - their quality control is really lacking these days. Battery wouldn't make a week brand new. Took forever to get a good close shave and was VERY loud. Had enough and decided to try the Panasonic ARC 3.Amazing performance. Super quiet compared to the Remington and more powerful - super close shave in less than half the time. Battery life is great as only used 40% during first two weeks. Hopefully that keeps happening. The razor is very easy to clean - either rinsing under water or just use the brush provided. Comfortable to hold and the head moves with the contours of face, keeping having to stretch skin to a minimum. Trimmer is very good - could be a little wider, but fine as it is.Hopefully, it holds up. Everything wears out over time, but so impressed with the performance, I'd definitely buy another one. Highly recommended!UPDATE - It's now been over a year of daily use and still shaves great with original blades and foil. Battery is still lasting over a week between charges. BEST electric shaver I've ever owned. If it broke or got lost, I'd buy another! Still highly recommended!

I have new respect for this razor
I bought this Panasonic ARC3 last summer to replace my trusty old Panasonic ES-LA63 that had it's rechargeable battery finally die after many years of use. At first I thought this new one felt a lot cheaper made (more plasticy and not as heavy in the hand) and did not feel like it shaved quite as well, but it has gotten the job done sufficiently since purchasing.I'm a big hockey fan and when my team is in the playoffs, I don't shave and let the beard and mustache grow as a way to root on my team. My team was eliminated yesterday so it was time to shave off all the facial hair. My last Panasonic was always a pain to do this and would snag the facial hair and only get it down so far so I just went to a barber last year. This year, I just wanted it off ASAP so I figured I'd try the new Panasonic that had been sitting in the drawer unused for the past month. Just one pass with the straight blade portion and 80% of the facial hair was gone, I was shocked. A few more passes with the straight blade and then the foil and I didn't even need to do a regular razor shave afterwards. This definitely gave me new respect for this Panasonic ARC3.

Excellent Shaver
Been using electrics for some time going back to the early 60's. Remington, Norelco, Braun, Panasonic and some off brands. I had an Arc 5 and gave it away. The "experts" claim (and I agree) that the Arc 4, 5 and now the 6n still have the problem of not cutting the flat lying hairs. I can attest to that as my Arc 5 always left at least 3-5 flat lying hairs. I had to remove them with the trimmer. Finally gave the Arc 5 away.Recently I purchased the Arc 3 and to my surprise, this is an excellent shaver. Cuts all of the hairs, very close and comfortable shave with no more effort than the Arc 5 or my Braun 9. The Arc 3 has a slightly less powerful motor (13,000 cpm) as opposed to the 14,000 cpm motor on the Arc 4, 5 and 6. I see this as a plus as I get as close a shave as I did on the Arc 5 with no more flat lying hairs to deal with. Cleaning is very easy as the cutters stlay on the shaver instead of in the foil. A quick brush is all that is needed with an occasional rinse. fwiw this is the best and easiest to use and maintain shaver I've owned. I've always used the latest shavers with all of the bells and whistles. For me, the Arc 3 (ES-LT-67a) is my favorite and go-to shaver and at a fraction of the cost ($79.99 + tax)r
