CanaKitRaspberry Pi 4 Extreme Kit - Aluminum Edition (8GB RAM)

This kit included everything I needed to get my Pi up and running, and it hasn't had a hiccup ever since. Moving my code from another system and recompiling was a breeze and the performance of this board is superb.

I'm a pro and have many other RPis, and I needed a v4. I hate that I had to get all the other stuff but the case turned out to be really terrific. It DOES get quite warm (kinda hot) to the touch, so don't touch it :) I run it as a headless server and it works great as I would expect. All parts are high quality.

Arrived in very little time. The package had all of it's components, was well packed and frankly the best experience I've had buying something on Amazon in a long time. With the nation-wide shortage of these little machines I have been yearning for one to turn into a headless network monitor/PiHole server for quite awhile. The prices on these units may well go down as the supply increases but I've waited three years for one of these so... that said I think this little bit of kit is still a good value. It has everything you will need to get this machine up and running. The stainless steel case, which doubles as a heat sink, is simply the best. Without a fan, or any other contraption, it keeps the Pi running somewhere between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. It looks great and the only caveat here is that it makes a great server/workstation case for the Pi but lacks proper access to the pins. So if you plan on tinkering with the Pi as a hobbyist, you might want to buy a different kit. I'm not a Raspberry Pi enthusiast by any measure, but for my purposes this fills my use case well. After this very positive purchasing experience with Canakit however, I might become a fan. Other sellers on Amazon take note: Your sales will improve if you treat your customers well. Duh.

I think that the package is a great deal. It provides everything needed to get started with the platform. The only draw back is that I wasn't able to get Raspberry Pi OS to install using the preinstalled NOOBs installer. The issue was with the network, while it could connect to my network, it failed to download the software. I don't know if connecting via an ethernet would have resolved the issue or not. It wasn't that big of a deal for myself.The case looks nice and is fairly solid. Be sure to not insert the SD card into the Pi before putting the case on it. This is noted in the manual but could be easily over looked.

CanaKit has the best kits for the Pi's. I always admire their ability to provide good kits. sent this to a friend and is satisfied of it.
