InYard Weighted Blanket, 30 x 40 Inch, 5lb, Navy Blue

My granddaughter is autistic and she has many sensory needs. Before purchasing this blanket she would always put pillows on top of herself when going to sleep, but since I purchased this blanket she sleeps with it every night and it seems to even give her a better night's sleep allowing her to sleep longer and now we don't see her putting the pillows on top of her when going to sleep anymore.

This is a Christmas gift for my grandson. It is very soft and well made. I am sure he will enjoy it.

I wish I had noticed the size, much too small to stay put at night.

Smaller then expected

I bought the largest size offered at the time with the animal print/green background (because it was so cute). I'm in my 50's now, and have had trouble falling asleep right away for decades, and now have sleep apnea as well. Whenever I've been able to use this blanket (I travel for work, so don't haul the blanket around for travel because it is so heavy), I fall asleep within minutes. I usually can get more than 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep -- for years I was often waking up after only 4 hours of sleep.NOTE: I can't determine if this helps with the sleep apnea, because I can't stand the CPAP mask and so I usually take the mask off in my sleep. I have no problem with the weighted blanket, even if it hot - I just fall asleep. 7 hours of sleep feels much better than only 4 hours of sleep!

Takes long to dry after washing but works well for my 3yr old with ASD. He's 3'2" and 35lbs and the size works well for him.
