Works beautifully on WOOD SASH WINDOWS!
We had really expensive wood sash windows installed nearly two years ago and was told by the installer to buy this product and use it right away to keep the windows from sticking. He gave me complete instructions for the UNPAINTED WOOD SASH WINDOWS, so I will pass them along:1. BEFORE ANY PAINT OR PRIMER IS APPLIED, brush on a coating of LINSEED OIL to all of the middle wood track section that the windows slide on (this is the section of the sash window that is unpainted in the picture). Be very careful not to get any oil on the outside edges that will be painted later. If any gets on those surfaces, wipe it up immediately. Let the oil soak into the track for several hours, if not overnight. Apply a second coat, again ONLY to the middle track section of the wood window frame.2. Once the oil has been given enough time to soak in (give it at least 24 hours), then gently rub the wax along the track in long gentle strokes. DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN ONE COAT! If you put on too much wax, the windows will have nothing to grip onto and could slip or sit crooked in the track.3. After the wax has been applied to the track, gently slide the windows up and down the length of the track until they easily slide the entire length of track. If there is an area that is still sticking, try to pinpoint the troublesome area and apply a little more wax to just that area. Slide the windows up and down the track again, multiple times until the windows slide with very little effort. Now you're good to go for a good long time. The tracks on sash windows should never really be painted. This is what causes the windows to gum up and never really slide properly. If you notice your windows start to stick again, just dust the tracks off and apply a little wax to the trouble spots and this should keep your sash windows in working order for years to come.P.S.: This wax can be used for tons of other household projects, so keep it handy under the sink or wherever you keep your household tools!

This is great for making candy.
I make chocolate truffles during the holidays…dipped in chocolate with a little of this added. They are shiny and the coating is thinner. Absolutely perfect!

It's wax...
It's wax right. But when you have an older house where the drawers are wood on wood this is a great solution to "lubricate" the wood to relieve that friction. Old school solution for an on going issue.

Great product
Great product, used it on a wooden cabinet so the drawers would slide in and out easier.
