Quite, no very interesting
It always surprises me how little I know about my own subjects. This book is full of interesting vinaigrettes about the culture of the human body. I was particularly impressed with one of the early chapters about the skeleton, named not surprisingly 'bones' there is some fascinating bits and pieces I can use to enhance my teaching on this topic area. Overall a well written book which explains concepts well and links the history of the culture to the present day. I had not read anything before by this author but will now order 'Periodic Tales' and give this ago. Well worth the money.

Thoroughly entertaining read
Excellent thoughtful book. As an old school doctor I had spent time in the dissecting rooms of the anatomy department this book puts cultural flesh on the bare bones of the human structure.
