This is a hidden gem at this price
I recently upgraded my networking setup with the Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Aggregation, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. This device is an absolute game-changer for anyone serious about optimizing their network performance. The first thing that caught my attention was the sleek and sturdy design. The build quality is top-notch, and the compact form factor makes it easy to integrate into my existing network rack. The UniFi Switch Aggregation feels like a premium piece of hardware that is built to last.Setting up the switch was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly UniFi Controller software. The intuitive interface made it easy to configure VLANs, monitor network traffic, and manage connected devices. The level of control and customization provided by the UniFi Controller is truly impressive and adds a layer of sophistication to my network management. One of the standout features of this switch is its aggregation capability. The high-speed link aggregation ensures that my network experiences minimal latency and provides a smooth, uninterrupted connection for all my devices. This has significantly improved the overall performance of my network, especially during data-intensive tasks such as large file transfers and media streaming. The UniFi Switch Aggregation also boasts a generous number of ports, allowing me to connect all my devices without the need for additional switches. The 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports are a fantastic addition for those looking to future-proof their network and achieve blazing-fast data transfer speeds. In terms of reliability, the UniFi Switch Aggregation has been rock-solid. I have experienced no dropouts or performance issues since integrating it into my network. The quality of service it provides gives me peace of mind, knowing that my network is running at its full potential.Overall, the Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Aggregation is a stellar networking solution that combines performance, ease of use, and robust build quality. It has transformed my network into a high-speed, reliable powerhouse. If you're serious about optimizing your network infrastructure, I highly recommend the UniFi Switch Aggregation. It's a five-star product that delivers on its promises and more.

Works well for me (but note - 1G/10G only)
Excuse my poor photos, but I am really happy with this switch. It has great value for the price to add multi-gig speeds into your network. It seems many reviewers had issues with this switch but my experience was positive. I have it connected to a UDM pro, two different Cisco switches, one 10G Intel RJ45 NIC, one Intel SFP NIC, and one broadcom SFP NIC. I get proper negotiation to 10G with all of those connections and appear to get getting close to 10G actual throughput on all of those links (though - I haven't tested more than two at the same time).Do note that as stated in the manual and product page on Ubiquiti's site this switch will only work with 1G OR 10G in each slot. If you want sub-10G the switch will not negotiate properly and you will get strange behavior and packet errors. However, if that is important to you, there are some RJ45 transceivers that appear to handle this problem well. The Mikrotik S+RJ10 is one of those. It appears to negotiate 10G on the SFP side and whatever other speed you need on the RJ side and handle the link between those two ends with no packet loss or throughput sacrifice. But, that isn't "officially" supported so if you plan on using that heavily this probably is not the switch for you. I have tried 3 other SFP transceivers and they did not work properly at sub-10G multigig speeds.

Great, inexpensive 10GB switch
This switch is very flexible and I highly recommend it to anyone that has need of greater than 1GB connectivity in their UniFi network. it can be difficult to see how this may be used in a home network so I will use mine as an example. I use this switch in my home network to connect two of my other main switches and a couple of clients. I have two UniFi switches connected to this switch. Both only have SFP ports, not SFP+ so I aggregated their ports to this switch for a 2GB connection to each. I have a NAS connected at 10GB using DAC and I have my main PC with a 10GB Ethernet port connected using an SFP to Ethernet converter. I have 1.4GB internet and connecting my UDM pro to this switch allows my clients that are connected to this switch that are faster than 1GB download at full speed.

Nice little backbone 10GB switch
Package arrived complete. Will definitely buy from seller again.

Fanless, easy to setup, only 8 ports.
I needed a few 10gE ports in a quiet environment. This fan-less unit worked out well for the purpose. I had trouble using Cisco and 3M (MMM) branded DACs, but some other generics worked ok. I didn't try any ubiquiti optics.

Beta product. Ubiquiti still can't get SFP right
I am a fan of Unifi platform, the APs are great, I have the UDMP, which works well, though does have it's own SFP quirks. This is just annoyingly stupid. I simply moved over 5 devices which worked fine in MikroTik SFP+ switches to this, and problems ensued. The limited web ui for this switch shows everything is fine and no errors, but it doesn't actually switch traffic properly, not all devices can communicate to each other, but can communicate to the rest of the network. It needed a firmware update immediately after being installed, which means it's still being worked on after it's been sold, and it's still not working right. I would love everything to be in one web portal, UDMP, the APs and my 10gb hardware, but with how Ubiquiti is dropping the ball on SFP+ switching, it's not going to happen, I'll get a bigger MikroTik switch, it won't be in the Unifi web UI, but it will work. Maybe if I spent more time tinkering with vlan settings and kept digging deeper into port specific configs I'd figure this thing out, but if out of the box it can't handle the minimum of switching 5 devices, which a dumb unmanaged switch should be able to do, that's a problem. Transfer speeds of 2 machines connected into this switch between each other on high speed nvme drives was < 3gpbs, after they were moved back to MikroTik, speeds went back to 10gbps. Ports on the ubiquiti indicate that the connection is 10gbps, so it's the switch (where is the 160gbps switching capability?) I suggest wait until version 2 and get the MikroTik 9 port (8 SFP) switch.
