Dell docking stations need higher wattage adaptors - at least 180 watt for Dell Latitude E7240 laptop
I have a Dell Latitude E7240 and it's attached with two external Dell monitors and two backup hard drives to a Dell ePort docking station (2011 version with USB2). The external monitors would flicker on and off and then only one of the external monitors would work. I read about the problems and replaced the ePort docking station with a 2013 version with USB3. Worked for a bit and then the second monitor stopped working again. I read some more reviews and realized that the problem might be the adaptor. The USB3 ePort came with a 130 watt adaptor. I wondered if three monitors (2 external, 1 laptop) + 2 external drives + a mouse and + USB for iPhone might need more power. So I bought this 180 watt adaptor. Bingo! The second external monitor is now working -- albeit VGA instead of DVI - so the problem is power, not the docking station. I'm now wondering about upgrading again to a 240 watt adaptor (like in the EU). There are multiple complaints on the internet about the Dell ePort docking station combination with the Latitude E7240, and I'm thinking the problem may have been the low wattage adaptor all along and not the docking station.

No rubber strap. Part number is DW5G3, not TW1P0.
The item I got has two problems. The major one is that "a rubber strap for easy cable management" is missing. The minor problem is that the manufacture part number is not TW1P0 but DW5G3, which is probably also fine but the one I wanted to buy in the first place is TW1P0, which is Dell's later version of power adapter. If I wanted a DW5G3, there were cheaper sellers. (After I received the item I took a closer look at the picture, which actually showed DW5G3, not TW1P0. If I noticed this earlier I wouldn't buy this).

Can't complain
Turns out there was nothing wrong with my old charger, but it's nice to have a spare on hand.

Didn't work.
Dell adds a chip to this charger which does not allow use of third party chargers. Advertised to work with Dell products - proper voltage etc. but you are locked out from using it. I had to buy the charger from Dell.
