Real tasty food that's easy to make.
I have followed The Slimming Foodie through her blog for years now and was so excited to see that Pip was releasing a book. It's great to have a fresh cook bringing something new to the healthy eating table.Having waited in anticipation for quite sometime, I was over the moon to receive my copy today. I own a lot of cookery books but it's really nice to have one that has recipes that are suitable for pretty much all times of the day and the whole family. I also love the fact that the recipes are proper meals where I can have a real portion. So often I find recipes in other books to be presented as meals but in fact I need to cook about 3 recipes to really call it a meal.I have found in the past that recipe books that are aimed at the 'slimming' crowd to not use real ingredients. Every recipe I have read in The Slimming Foodie so far is using real whole food ingredients which is great so I know that I can keep on track with my weight but also know that I'm eating real food.I haven't cooked anything from the book yet but on flicking through I can see that both the ingredients lists and methods are short and simple, which knowing recipes I've cooked from the blog, means they are easy to make with few ingredients. I can also see on a quick glance that the ingredients are your everyday ingredients that you can pick up in the supermarket, making it easy to shop for these recipes in the weekly shop.I love that there is real person behind the food that I can see and relate to, and that i'm not alone on my slimming journey.

Too many recipes I’ve seen elsewhere!
It’s a nice book but I’m really disappointed that so many of the recipes are vvv similar to ones in the pinch of nom books I feel a bit short changed! Eg PON cowboy stew becomes Cowgirl stew, Cajun dirty rice is rainbow rice, etc etc the sweet recipes look more unique but given this book will of course appeal to the same PON followers I’m disappointed

Delicious recipes, easy to follow, reliable!
I’ve been following Pip’s blog for a long time now and have made lots of her recipes - none of them have ever failed! Our particular favourite is the chilli Mac & cheese, which is a regular dinner in our house and was one of the few blog recipes to make it in the book which I’m delighted by!It’s proper home cooking, with whole healthy ingredients that are easy to get hold of and clear and simple instructions. Many of the recipes have Thai, Mexican or Italian influences, all of which I love and I’m planning a full week’s meal plan just using this book now.I’ve made the Cheesy Tomato & Gnocchi bake already and it was absolutely delicious. Would absolutely recommend this book!

No Faff! Great recipes! Best cookbook EVER!!
What a wonderful book of recipes. Everything we have tried so far has been easy to follow recipes with amazing yummy outcomes. Favourites are the jam, which only takes 10 minutes to make. The brunch hash is a firm favourite, and tonight can’t wait for the One pot chilli mac n’ cheese.Been following the slimming foodie for years online and it is so lovely to have a collection of her recipes in an amazing book. Definitely worth buying. And for once a recipe book that has ingredients that you don’t have to go on and expedition to find
