Great buy!

I bought this for an upcoming trip to Italy and Greece. I wanted to not need to have a data plan for doing language translation. Supposedly this device would allow for Italian and Greek to be native (not needing anything else). When we tried to use it to translate Italian, it would not work unless the app was running and we were connected to data. When not connected, it would not do anything, saying that the language was not downloaded or supported. When looking at the app to see if Italian was downloaded, the box was checked, so it should have worked on its own.Also, the sound quality on this is terrible. Basically, this device on its own is nothing more than a microphone and speaker with a Bluetooth interface. All the work is done on your phone. Not sure why it would not work on my wife's iPhone (a few generations old). Since I have international data on T-Mobile, I can get a better translation device just by using my Android phone and Google Translate. I would not recommend this device, based on our experience with it. I have already submitted a return request.

Exactly what we needed for trips in Europe. Going to Athens and cruise to Italy so will use Greek and Italian. Planning a trip to Germany, Switzerland and Austria so will use German translator.

The device itself is very well made. However, the selling description did not clearly indicate that you must also use your cell phone during a translation event. I was disappointed with this fact. I returned it immediately.

I’d like to say that I’ve lived in a foreign country for some time now and when I’ve used this it has come as close as it gets to perfect. I was introduced to this by a friend that bought it because he was going to a country that he had no idea of the language the Muama Enence Instant two way translator worked perfectly for what was needed. I’m heading to Japan today and will test it more so far the accuracy and ease has been great. Time will tell, now that I get to use it for a different language than Croatian. It fits right into my jacket pocket and the slick design is attractive to the eye. Good Luck and happy translating. Tony K Irving

MI tried to get it to work. the actual translator said it was ready to go, but the app wouldn't let it. I contacted the manufacturer, but they won't support it if you didn't buy directly from them. So, I returned it to Amazon and tried to buy it from their website.I went to their website and tried to buy one. It said that the transaction didn't go through and I should try another card. I tried another card and it wouldn't go through again.And then I tried a third card.And it said transaction completed for 3 translators. I had only tried to buy one and I immediately called them up to cancel the order. The representative try to get me to keep all three of them by offering me different free gifts. I told them all I wanted was my money back and he finally agreed. Next thing I know, all 3 of them came in.The mai was charged over three hundred dollars for them and could not return them. Even contacting the better business bureau didn't help. I finally set them on a community table so anybody could pick them up. I didn't want to throw them out, but I knew if I kept them I would be angry again every time I looked at them.

Does not work well? A question is asked and it only translates 1/2 of question or last word. Don't like at all. Went to return but was too late. Kept trying item thinking I did something wrong.
