Does not use in hot climate!!!
The city I live in reaches 35+ celsius in the afternoon during september. Not even peak summer (july-august). The day after spraying it all dripped like engine oil on the ground. Underbody looked like runny mascara! Just left a complete mess on the parking space! Had to cleanup both the ground and the underbody. It didnt say anything on the label for suitable ambient temperature. Absolute waste! Bought two gallons. One black and one clear. Never buying again...!

This stuff is great. I have t say it is the best product I have ever used for protecting my old fleet of trucks and cars. I have not used it that long but it seems t be the best thing I have found for rust. I especially like the FLUID FILM for spraying under body to preserve brake lines and brake parts. Time will tell on how long it will last but it sure is a good lubricant and preservative. I plan on spraying and using on everything that sits outside that could rust.

We treat our vehicles regularly since we live in the snow belt. It has staved off rust for our autos. Works like a charm and goes on easily and sticks around for quite a long time. Its worth the time and effort to treat the car for preventing the rust and corrosion.

This is my first experience with undercoating but since I bought a gently used Chevy 2500HD and I live in northern Ohio I felt that I should protect my vehicle for the long haul. Firstly, I overbought. I got 2 gallons and planned on doing my truck, a small suv and a Honda Fit. Well after heating up the oil and using a spray gun, I used a single canister which I believe to be about 32 oz on my truck, that figure counts for 2 coats as well. I’m not too sure on some of you saying you used a whole gallon because I can’t see how that’s feasible unless it was brushed on (definitely not spending that kind of time on that big of a vehicle.) all in all, I have plenty of product for the next few years at least. The viscosity from the cold initially was like pudding but after heating it up with a turbo heater it became very maple syrup like. Do that and you’ll have no issues. Use a tarp too! It protects from overspray and you can easily slide around on the concrete lol Update March 2019 The rust proofing seemed to stay on during the winter. My fine mist did well from what the eye can see and as a tester to see how long it would last, I put it on the face of my tires much like a tire shine, and when I get my truck washed the tires still shine where I applied it! So screw all other tire foams just use this. I’ll be applying it again next fall for sure. Also it appears the price fluctuated based on demand by $10 so something to consider. I think the next time I apply the product I’ll try to find another way to make it very thin and sprayable, like a heating probe or a hot knife tool? I’m open to suggestions because kerosene is expensive and smelly. Good product!!

Use the Fluid Film Pro undercoating gun to apply this stuff as an undercoating or rust preventative. See my review of that product for more on my long term test I will be reporting back on. I can say it goes on well, does not dry or create a dry shell. I can say this makes a great lubricant that fills the void between light oil and grease. I used it on my tractor 3 point hitch components and moving parts, lubing all of the pins on my attachments that live outdoors. Things slide and move easier now making things easy to put on and take off. It is easy on the hands, too. It stays like a heavy oil, which makes it likely to do well as a rust proofer as well. Time will tell if it makes a difference long term, and I will check back in with my results. If I were Fluid Film, I'd do a test vehicle and treat the passenger side (gutter side) with this product and do nothing to the other side. Show customers the difference after 5-8-10+ years online. If their product works, it would sell itself then. I would rate the product 5 stars if there were clear data about how effective it can be. For my part, I have no plans to do only half of my Silverado, and I have coated all areas I can access, so we'll see how long it takes old man winter to rust the treated areas. I will report back as time marches on with results.

I like how this goes on has a nice texture and resistant to scratching. Used for my pickup bed and to coat my chassis.
