Moultrie Tripod Feeders

Even with multiple new batteries motor doesn’t spin freely. Not sure where to go from here. Will likely try to contact the manufacturer.

There are a pletheora of feeders available and making the right decision is hard. This is easy to put together even if you don't have instructions. You can do it by yourself and have it running in a couple minutes. It's a cinch to set up and is pretty foolproof. I can't attest to the durability of this but it seems to be well built. I loaded 150# of corn in it on day one without problem. My only complaint is there isn't a way to make the feeder directional out of the box, but with a little piece of rubber and 2 rivets (or screws) you can easily remedy that. I've only had this a couple weeks but will update this review if I have any issues.

This was used to feed our birds while away from home. Assembled easily, good heavy locking top cover on it. Tested with a small amount of bird seed and functioned nicely. So topped it up and working like a charm. Programming was easy as well. Ordered the battery for it and a solar charger. Only complaint is with the solar charger, the feeder instruction have it mounted to wings near the top cover but the charging cord is not long enough for that so mounted it on one of the joining half bolts.

Works well, batteries last all winter and it holds a lot of corn. It’s a good deal here on Amazon compared to sporting goods stores. The only downside is that you need to buy the guard or else the animals eat right from the spreader and their saliva can freeze the unit up. Raccoons are able to reach the spreader and eat from the unit too so the guard protects from that.
