Original review: Unfortunately the batteries are not charging. They have been charging overnight and indicator is in the same place and hasn't moved, the indicator is at half capacity and blinking. The price has gone up and no replacement can be arranged, only a refund. The agent in the chat did suggest an alternative item. It is a shame, I have been using the AA and AAA batteries of this same brand (HiQuick) for a number of months and had no issues at all. Updated review: The seller got in contact and apologised about the defective item and sent me a replacement, that arrived a few days later. The replacement charges correctly and appears to work. Although I was very unhappy with the original item, the customer service and willingness to replace was the item - was welcomed. Thank you. Star-rating amended.

Arrived promptly, in good order and as described. Very good value for this charger with two rechargeable batteries and they charged up well using my mobile phone USB charger (1.5 amps output). It comes with instructions which says to use the included USB cable with a charger with a minimum of 1 amp output. If you don't have a mobile phone charger like me then a charger for your Chromecast or Amazon Fire Stick both have have 1 amp outputs so should be ok. Nice to have the auto cutout when the battery indicator shows fully charged, and it can charge either one or two batteries including Lithium rechargeables as well as the NI-MH type that comes with it. The details state that Lithium rechargeables are charged at about 3 times the charge rate so higher powered Lithium batteries should also be a quick charge. Both the charger and the batteries look high quality which is more important for rechargeables as obviously they're reused many times so need to last a longer life than throwaway alkaline batteries. I've only had this a short while so can't speak about there long term use, but I guess that's always the way with this sort of thing and so far so good. I'm very pleased.

I used a Medi-Fit 3 TENS machine to manage the damaged joints and spinal damage I have. This machine uses one 9 volt battery a day at £3/4 each this machine is saving me a fortune. It's easy to use and takes a few hours to charge two batteries so I've always got a spare ready to use.

Compact,good value and does the job. Wasn't expecting the rechargeable batteries at the price point.

The company reached out following my original review and sent a replacement. The replacement works fine after one charge. The original set worked well for my bass guitar and lasted six months. However on first charge with the supplied charger there was a foul burning smell and they didn't work. The replacement seems to work well.
