Update: I ended up returning these. After wearing them for 20-30 minutes I realized the size was not perfect for me and XL was far too big. They would have been great if they hit at my waist. They created a strange v shape around the crotch and were dangerously close to giving camel toe. I have a high waist so this is a personal issue, the pants were great otherwise.————-The pants are a very lightweight fabric and cool to the touch which will be perfect for the hot climate I am getting ready to travel to! Overall quality feels good, and all of the zippers are smooth. The thigh pockets are secured with velcro.For me these are not truly high waisted however I also have a naturally high waist. I prefer my pants to sit at my natural waist above my belly button. These pants hit at right about my belly button but it is still comfortable. Sizing is difficult for me as I have about a 13/14 inch difference between my waist and hips. I originally ordered a medium and they were just a tad too small - for reference I am a 31.5 waist and 45 hip. I exchanged for a large and they fit much better, not too tight or loose. The regular length is also good for me, 5’8”

This is my third pair of these and I love them! They are very comfortable in the summer and the pockets hold lots of stuff if need be. If you put something heavy in the cargo pockets with the flap, it will weigh down your legs while walking of course though. They will be perfect in the kayak and for camping this summer too. It's great to have hiking pants with an SPF and quick dry material in a comfortable size and design.Please note that the "dark brown" colour is not actually a dark brown. It is more of a warm toned, medium brown but is still a great colour. The colour looks like a cool toned, darker brown on my MAC.I am 200 lbs. with a 45" waist and 51" hips. The size 3X is very comfortable for me.

They fit, I like that I don’t have to hem them. Tired of hemming pants.Like the style and the pockets and they are water resistant.They are very comfortable EXCEPT they are very HOT in warm weather.Don’t know what they would be like in cold weather yet.

I travel quite a bit, and these are, and always will be my go to travel pants!The material is so comfortable and it is the perfect thickness for keeping me warm, but not too hot. If I do start to get hot the pants can easily be pulled up to wear like capri's. This is clutch while traveling because the airport or airplane could be super chilly, then the destination is super warm. So I am comfortable no matter the temperature!The material is also very durable and made well.The pockets are very functional and convenient! They have zippers or velcro latch which keeps my items secure.The pants fit great, not too tight or too loose. I am 5'3" 150lbs and the large is perfect.

I live on a gulf coast estuary where the sun is bright and hot and the mosquitos are ever present.These are my mosquito pants and I wear them every day when I work in the yard. Purple is invisible to mosquitos (also khaki, light gray, and silver sage). I spray my pants with Sawyer's permethrin (insect repellent) for clothing after every wash.These pants work well to both protect my legs from sun exposure and insect bites. They are lightweight so they don't add to the humid heat. The pockets hold my phone, work gloves, and kleenex. They are comfortable and look good. Price was good.The only negative is that I would have liked them to be at least 3 inches longer so that they didn't expose my ankles when sitting.Addendum: My bad. They come in long. I bet the sellers rolled their eyes at my original review.

Let me start out by saying I loved these pants so much I purchased 2 pairs (and attempted to purchase some for my daughter, but unfortunately, they had to be returned because the sizing wasn't right). They are very comfortable and have a lot of nice deep, secure pockets. I got them for a vacation so that I wouldn't have to carry a purse (which worked out great!) and still wear them casually.Having said that, something very strange is happening to them (see photos). At first, I thought I sat in something that stuck to them as it looked like little seeds or something from a plant, but when I tried to remove them, they were stretchy and it became apparent they were coming from the pants themselves! I don't know if it's the spandex or what, but it's not normal!Because I love these pants so much, I pulled off all of the whatever-it-is that's coming through the pants, each and every one, by hand so that it wouldn't look like I had something on my rear end for others to notice. It took a long time to remove them all, but I did it. I thought I had fixed the problem, however, after wearing them again a couple more times, it came back again!At this point, I don't know what to think. Clearly, the pants have not stood the test of time and I don't want to have to "clean them up" by manually pulling off all the little things that are coming through them after every couple wearings, because nobody's got time (or the patience) for that!The pants are otherwise in great shape and have not shown much wear, so the fact that this is happening is so perplexing. Maybe mine are just defective?I wanted to email the seller directly about this instead of posting here (as I said, I truly love these pants), but even with the help of Amazon's customer service, I was unable to locate an email address for the seller. I'm hoping they will see this review and contact me directly.

Don’t use fabric softener on these pants. Otherwise they are excellent. Light weight, cool, soft, fit perfectly. The come out of a low heat dryer cycle like new. I have two pair and am ordering more. They are good everyday pants. The colors are true so far to the photos. Good quality. I have had mine for two years and they look new. I guess they are great for jogging too, I don’t jog. I walk.
