only fire Minimax Charcoal Ash Basket for Big Green Egg, Stainless Steel Grill basketwith Handles for Better Airflow

Bought the MINIMAX for my KAMADO JOE JR and it fits nicely, right dimensions. Haven’t grilled anything yet but the basket feels nice and heavy, should be good.

It was like Cinderella's slipper on the fit: just slid nicely into place. (Be sure to remove the original cast iron grate however!). Doesn't impede airflow and makes cleanup much easier. Definite recommend.

I would highly recommend this product. More than 1/2 the price at the Big Green Egg store ($80) & I like this basket better. VERY sturdy, I would purchase again.

quite as nice as i would have liked. If it was just like 10% thicker i think i’d be stoked on a 5 star review. I’m usually not at all stingy but for some reason i can’t quite give this one 5. it’s a solid 4.49 though. Also I feel like there’s a wasted ½ inch at the bottom with plenty still left over for proper air flow, bit that’s more just kinda part of the deal unless it was made such a way that would cost significantly more to make and it probably wouldn’t last as long either. oh well. still the best option available i’m pretty sure so pull the trigger. you’ll go thru charcoal a bit faster but the baby joe is so good on using so little fuel its crazy, and it’s worth it to be able to get even hotter even faster and get even more ridiculous high temp searing on this little b@d@$$ grill. The poor large KJ gets so little love these days we fire up baby joe so often, and on the rare days we don’t, it’s usually because we are using the traeger for some light smoke slow cook where we are looking for a bit more delicate smoke and zero work except the sucky (no pun intended) cleanup job with the shop vac later. We have a teeny dedicated vac for that chore btw. Anyways the teeny joe is the best outdoor cooker we have and it’s the grill we use the most. And we grill more than anything else. stove inside not even a close second in the hot NC summer.

Just wanted to say if you came here looking for a basket to fit your Vision Cadet grill this one fits perfect. Helps with air flow and getting those higher searing temps I could never get with the cast iron vision grate. I can’t speak to longevity but I’m sure it will eventually rust after a couple years and need replaced. For the price it’s a great value and I consider it a consumable item.

I bought this for my Kamado Joe - Joe Jr. For $29! I was willing to risk it instead of paying over $100 for the fire basket labeled for use with Kamado Joe - Joe Jr. While it's not a "perfect fit", it definitely does the job while saving you money.

Exactly what I needed, looks to be well constructed, arrived early.

Bought this for my Akorn JR and it fits perfectly! Improves air flow and is solid build quality.
