These are a great way to teach domino playing to children. They can also be used as building blocks and they float. Multipurpose math toy.

It's been a very long time since I played dominoes but I did enjoy playing it as a kid. These are a great foam set for children. It had been so long since I played, I had to look at instructions on how to play dominoes to start teaching my soon-to-be 4 year olds how to play. They don't exactly grasp it yet but it's fun for them to match up the number or dot patterns. It's also quite and a great game to pack up and take to Nana's house.The foam is exactly like the foam that you'll find in the children's ABC puzzle rugs except this is double thick. It looks like two pieces of foam glued on top of each other. They are soft and large enough to play on the floor and easy to spread out on the coffee table without having to worry about scratching any wood. (in my case having my frustrated preschooler throw them at her sister) They are certainly easy enough to pop right back into the plastic box they came in and put away on a shelf. I'd like to see the storage box have a way to keep it closed and locked when not in use but other than that, I don't have any complaints. It's a fun skill building learning tool/toy.

I was expecting 1 foot by 2 foot instead they are 4 inch by 6 inch

For 4 yo grandson. Perfect. He can learn numbers, matching, colors. Learning and fun. good size for small hands (and big ones). Giving it a 4 because there should be some type of bag to keep these together.
