This tape really measures up!
This is a great tape measure! Measures in both standard and metric (standard on one side, metric on the other.)The best feature is that because it is a 50 meter tape measure, it also measures up to 165 feet. I was actually looking for a 150' tape measure and couldn't find another one that long that is in an enclosed case. This tape measure is very sturdy, mostly plastic, and should last you for years. It is a bit larger than I expected, but not unwieldy. The only possible downside is that the tape is made of fiberglass. The last fiberglass tape we had was chewed in two by our goat, while we were trying to measure something. But as long as you don't have pesky goats, you'll probably be very happy with this tape measure.

Good tape, good price, won't rust
My golfing group purchased two of these tapes for measuring closest to the pin on each nine. We like them and they work great. They run out and wind up easily. The markings are easy to measure and one side is inches and one side is metric. We especially like that the only part that is metal is the small roller the tape runs against as it exits the housing. This way the tape won't rust in a short time like our first ones did. This is important in a wet/damp locations (Florida).

Large for a compact tape
I didn't pay much attention to the size when I bought it, but it's larger than I envisioned. 7" x 6" x 1.5" (see stapler in pictures for comparison). Difficult to palm in one hand, but the strap on the back is a good fix for that. I don't like that the end is only a loop and there's no hook. If you don't have someone else holding the end or a nail to hook it on, your screwed. I like the one's that have a metal hook on the tip that will grab an edge. The strap lays flat and pops out easily to put your hand in. My hand fits well in it, I imagine if your hand was too big for it, you probably could palm it and not use the strap anyway.Seems sturdy and it winds smooth and fast, but I may return it for a smaller version with a hook. I have a large-style 100 ft tape already, and was mainly buying this to downsize in my work bag.

I strongly recommend it--just bought my second one (because I need two
I'm a field ecologist studying coral reefs. I have to fly to get to my study sites, so light weight is important to me, but of course so is ruggedness and ease of use and this tape does magnificently on all three scores and it's bargain-priced on top of that. I strongly recommend it--just bought my second one (because I need two, the first is still going strong!).

Excellent, though one drawback.
The tape itself works beautifully and seems to be well constructed. I'm not going lower my rating for this, but it would have been nice to have the description inform purchasers that the tape doesn't have progressive markings for inches. Meaning, at 2ft it doesn't also say 24", and at 25" it actually says 1". So every foot starts at 1" rather than carrying forward the overall measurement. Not a big deal for those of us comfortable with multiples of twelve up to x100, but for others, such as students, it can be a little frustrating.

I really like this tape and I hate to give it only ...
I really like this tape and I hate to give it only 3 stars, but the "expandable carrying handle" on the reverse side isn't as durable as it could be. A little better planning in design and that could be used to clip to a belt or a pack. What I really need is a tape that I can hook to my belt, hook the end to an object, then walk away to another point for measuring distance in meters. This tape *almost* fits the bill, but I think I'm going to have to go with an expensive logger's tape.

Best long tape
I'm 81 and this is the best long tape measure I have ever owned. Its larger size and excellent handle are the easiest to use out there. Its larger crank takes less effort to rewind and makes possible an easy latching at the working distance. The fiberglass tape will not rust like steel tapes.
