Rivals my Olights
I have 2 olights that I love (archer and seeker 3 pro), and this thing is the only flashlight that I have that is comparable to them. I like the fact that it has a spotlight and a floodlight built into the same light. Brightness wise its pretty accurate (true lumens) and just under 3k lumens is very nice for outdoor applications where range and scope are important. It has a good feel to it, as its heavy and solid, but small and ergonomic with a somewhat large reflective cone. The holster kinda sucks (flimsy) but I dont use it anyway and its not going to change my review. Battery life seems pretty solid so far, have used it for over an hour at the high setting and no drop in luminosity that I can see. USB-C is convenient as most of my devices are going in that direction so I have those cords everywhere, and the charging cover makes a nice seal and feels solid. Overall its a great light at a good price. I recommend.

Super Great Product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've purchased Thrunite flashlights before and I love them! they work great, hold a charge for a long time, and provide a level of brightness that helps you see things clearly.

Good throw
Excellent craftsmanship, typical of a ThruNite. Good value. One of the best flashlights for reaching out and touching anything at a distance. If you want a flood light, this is not it. If you want a good throw light, this one will work. It has the excellent, easy ThruNight user interface. It’s a little beefy for a pocket, but great for an EDC bag.

The Best AND Worst Compact High Output LED Flaslight that I Own
I bought this light late last year and found it to be the highest output single 286650 LiIon battery flashlight which I have, and I am kind of a LED flashlight fanatic. I own numerous high output models big & small, some with 6 LI batteries and some with up to 16 10w Cree chips. So I liked this Thrunite light so much, that I ordered a 2nd light. It arrived DOA and would not work with ANY batteries (included or my charged spares). I requested a return & replacement. The 3rd Thrunite was also DOA. Obvious batch of defective product. I waited a few months and ordered another, which works fine.So if you get a dood one, here is my review:-This is the best distance spot light that I own. It out performs most of my other lights for distance, even though it is almost the smallest light.-Construction quality appears good and feels just right in the hand. Threads have smooth operation during battery replacement.-Beam spread is dual with high lumens in sharp focus, but much more subdued area illumination. This is not a good area flood light.-This light appears to require 286650 cells, which permit high currents. I have about 10 spare 286650 batteries which do not work at at ALL with this light. I have 6 other cells which work fine with this light. Apparently cells which are regulated to limit current (to limit overheating?), will not work with this light.-This light works great for spot light use! It has high and lower power modes. I note that even brief use of this light in max power mode, gets this hot quick. So I have not used it in extended mode, and frankly haven't left it on very long in other modes, so I can't comment on long term reliability.-Regarding comment on charging battery degradation, you are going to need spare batteries and a separate charger. Battery failure does not mean you can't use the light anymore.

Bright, long spot
Fair amount of spill, but long throw. Proprietary battery isn't great ( the battery is great just difficult to find replacement) it will run on other batteries , but finding one's that will push turbo ( I haven't ). Solidly built , small enough for jacket pocket,

If you have $75 to spend on a flashlight. Spend it on this one!
A product has to truly impress me in order to write a review, so here I am. I'm a fairly frugal person who would typically frown upon spending this much money on a flashlight, but the truth is you can buy several cheaper ones or just buy this one.I've had this flashlight for nearly 6 months and after playing with the different high power modes (High and Turbo) the first few nights I had it, I gave it a full charge and started using it for "normal use". Normal use for me is daily use in the early morning and late at night while walking the dog (15 to 20 min) or doing the occasional household task that requires some light. For normal use as described, the low setting is more than adequate and performs the same as or better than most $20 to $30 flashlights, but here's the amazing thing to me. After 1 full charge and almost exclusive normal use, the flashlight is still running off of 1 charge about 5 1/2 months ago using the battery that shipped with the flashlight. Again, I typically operate on low, but not "fire-fly" which is another setting with a lower output good for basic indoor use. I'm sure I'll have to recharge it soon, but it has blown away every expectation I had. Before deciding on this purchase I did a lot of research into different brands a lumen outputs etc and I decided I wanted a beam "thrower", but wanted a decent amount of surrounding light as well. IMO this flashlight nails the best of both worlds. If I had to put numbers on it, it's say this is a 90% thrower and 10% "flood". It it VERY useful as a practical light, but gives you the satisfaction of casting an incredible beam. One last thing, this flashlight is a perfect size. It's on the smaller side and outperforms larger MagLites I have. There are lots of pics and vids available on YouTube, so I haven't posted anything, but I may try to get some night video of spotting some local wildlife.Bottom line is I'm very satisfied with this purchase!***Update 8/15/2020*** My initial review/opinion has not not changed. This flashlight continues serve everyday use and works just as well 1 1/2 years later.***Update 11/15/2021*** Still my every day go to flashlight!
