Nu-Calgon405006 Easy Seal Replacement

I added this to my mitsubishi split system and refilled the refrigerant. Seems to have sealed the leak in the evaporator coil. Will return with updates

I was told by my HVAC technician this is the stuff to use if you have a leak. I bought it installed it and sure enough it sealed leak.

Followed mfg's suggestions and still had to have refrigerant added first season but into second season system operated w/o significant leakage. 3 to 4 seasons later system is still significantly tighter than before installing. I would've wished it had worked more quickly but I'm happy with the outcome. I wish I had known that it might take longer for it to seal the system up as I was expecting instant results.

Sealed my 19-year old system right away. After AC guy topped off the R22, temperature at vents dropped from 74 to 66! Just buy this stuff, it really works.BTW, in case you think I just needed to top off the system, not really. I had it topped off three times since spring and it never dropped the temperature that much. It's all about pressure. If you have leaks, there is no pressure to keep it cool enough.I used one can for a 4-ton system.

It sealed my leak, saved a ton on replacing a new A- coil.

Worthless and costly . Returning it without trying it because same mfg offers it cheaper as a direct inject tube for less money. This might be useful if you have R22 and even then more costly and after buying the hose your out $80. This is simply outdated system and they are trying to sell you left over stock. DO NOT BUY. Returning it unused or tried. Stupid as hell and false advertised . If your system is 410a you would need to vaccume system to install as to get under required 50 lbs on a 410a you system would be so low on freon it would not even run. This is a scam to unload the old stuff. Buy the direct inject and easy to install on any running system. Yes slammed you and you know why. And if direct inject fails in less than 30 days you get it back too. Almost got me but when read instructions seen this as worthless. As prime member you get it back and the hose back and you pay the the return shipping. Amazon needs to start looking at what it sells as bad products hurt them.
