I have used both the Beauty Blender and the Real Techniques Sponge (as well as various other blending sponges). I love the texture of the Beauty Blender, but prefer the flat side of the Real Techniques sponge. This Beauty Junkees sponge is the best of both of those put together. I heard a YouTuber say that if the Beauty Blender and Real Techniques sponge had a baby, this Beauty Junkees sponge would be it. I absolutely agree! The texture is the closest I have ever found to the Beauty Blender (I really can't tell a difference between the two!), and it has that flat side from the RT sponge that I love. One thing that always bothered me about the RT sponge is that I never felt I could get enough water out of it - it always felt a little too "wet" to me. With this sponge, you can get as much water out it as the BB, and it also absorbs little to no product. So I get my BB texture with my RT flat side. It's a complete win/win!I read that some people have had problems with getting little black specks on their face after using this. I noticed that also the first few times I used it, but haven't had a problem since (and those few times I was able to quickly and easily flick the specks away). I think it just needs to be "broken in" because I haven't had that issue again, and I have used it quite a bit at this point. Overall, this is definitely my favorite sponge that I have ever used. Plus, the price! Four for $13??? That's a no-brainer!This is absolutely my favorite sponge that I have ever used. Well done, Beauty Junkees!

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a big fan of of the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge and the original Beauty Blender. I prefer the shape of the Real Techniques sponge, however, so I was really glad to find an even more inexpensive sponge from Beauty Junkees. I would say the BJ sponge is a bit denser than the RT or BB but it's still very soft when wet and blends my foundation just as well as the RT or BB. I've tried the pink tear drop sponge from Beauty Junkees but wasn't a fan of how dense it was because that made it less bouncy during application and difficult to clean. I used the BJ black contour sponge daily (washing after each use) for about 6-7 weeks before it started to fall apart. For me, that's the typical lifespan of a RT sponge as well. If you buy a 4-pack, it ends up being $3 per BJ sponge, which is cheaper than the RT sponge at $6. So all in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and will continue buying these BJ black contour sponges :).

Have used this for one week, rinsed and cleaned it gently every day, and it is already falling apart and leaving little black dots all over the face. Very disappointing. The flat edge seemed to be not very cleanly cut (compared to the Miracle Blending Sponge that I also use, from Real Techniques). Think I will stick with RT - they both work the same, but RT seem to last a lot longer. I also have the Beauty Blender, but prefer a sponge with a flat side.

I still think this is the best kept beauty secret out there. This sponge does it all and for well below fraction of a premium beauty sponge price. I am a beauty Junkees fan for life -- they make amazing beauty tools without sacrificing on quality and functionality. This sponge is unique because it has that angled side which is really nice for baking, under eye powder, concealing etc. What I will say on the not so positive side is that they don't last as long as premium sponges. If you don't care for them correctly they will no longer function. It's important to clean the sponge after every use and air dry it properly. If you don't it will crack and crumble on you. I've owned 2 -- so I have had the opportunity to get to know what works best for me.

There was no way I was going to purchase a beauty blender! $20 for a sponge? That's too much for me! I mean, if you can afford it, that's great! I just prefer to spend 20 more bucks on high-quality makeup rather than a sponge.The fact that this came with 4 automatically drew me in. I honestly didn't think this was going to work that well because of the quantity and the price. Although I've never tried the real beauty blender, I have tried a ton of those knockoff ones. I can honestly say this is the best makeup sponge I have ever used.The sponge expands when wet. I always use the sponge damp as it applies my foundation more smoothly. I dab my foundation on and it gives me an airbrushed finish as well as wonderful coverage. One of the best parts of this sponge is that it doesn't absorb all the foundation. It distributes foundation perfectly on my face.When washing the sponge, be very gentle. The sponge may rip easily if cleaned too harshly.The only con to this sponge is that it started ripping fairly quickly. The rips don't bother me that much because I am still able to use the sponge. I know that the rips will only get worse within time and will eventually destroy the sponge but seeing that the pack comes with 4, it's not that big of a problem.

I was so nervous to buy these, because I was afraid I'd be wasting my money and stuck with four of them if I hated them. I am SO glad I took a chance on them! To me, they are exactly the same as the Real Techniques sponges. They apply makeup the same way, feels great and doesn't bleed color when damp. I have been using these every day for a few weeks now, and even with washing/cleaning the sponge every other day it hasn't torn and is holding up really well. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the flat side isn't cut perfectly and mine had a few jagged edges. However, it doesn't affect the use at all and I probably only noticed because I read it in other reviews. I am so excited I found these sponges!

Spugnette davvero ottime mi trovo molto bene. Prima usavo quelle della real tecnique( si scrive così?!?) ma personalmente si rompevano molto facilmente. Con queste il problema non l'ho ancora avuto. In più a me piace che la spuegnetta da un lato sia piatta, personalmente è comodo per stendere il fondotinta. L'altro lato è invece comodo per fare il contorno occhi!Consiglio questo prodotto!
