Gates 43530 Premium Engine Water Pump

Good product

Beware of needing new bolts.Gates pump came with gasket and new bolts as described. It installed exactly as expected. I replaced an almost brand new pump that I would have re-used but I couldn't find replacement bolts. This pump goes on GM products and the installation requires the bolts to be "over stressed" when installing so they need to be replaced if ever replacing again. I found bolts that cost $6 each so it was silly to not just use the Gates pump as I had it in hand.

I installed this on my dad's 2016 Colorado and it worked perfectly. I guess it's been installed for a month or so and still works perfect, the biggest job was taking off the engine cover. I recommend this part and it's cheaper on Amazon and works great.

The manufactures box the water pump came in was beat up; maybe that’s why bolts were missing. That was one of the main reasons for this purchase along with price. Definitely more affordable then local auto parts stores. Came with paper gasket, as opposed to a metal core OEM gasket. Was able to purchase new bolts at local hardware store for about .40c each. This went into a 2008 Suzuki XL-7 Luxury AWD with about 170k miles at the time of repair. It’s been at least a month in a half since fix and I’m glad to say no leaks as of yet. Only time will tell if this replacement will last as long as the OEM water pump.

Have bought two of these, one for CTS, other for Acadia. Both work great. No issues. I prefer buying the gates brand over no name and even ac delco.

Buy the ac delco gasket, way better than the one included with this. Went under not the top to access the pump, with a mirror to see the top bolt made it 50% easier to remove,

Très déçu du produit. Facile à installer et venait avec les boulons et le joint d'étanchéité.Fuite d'antigel après 5000 km par le vent de la pompe à eau.Je dois remplacer la pompe encore une fois et c'est frustrant de payer encore et de perdre du temps.
