The product is exactly as described, and its usefulness cannot be overstated. I've found it to be incredibly practical and efficient in meeting my needs. I’ve never bought thinking putty before, but the doc prescribed something like this to a family member, wanting them to use it for strength and dexterity in their hands. I have sensory issues and whenever they weren’t using it, I would borrow it to squish to my heart’s content. When I saw this, I had to get it for myself. I’ve only just received it, so I can’t comment on whether or how quickly the colour fades. Out of the box, the colour is really beautiful. The consistency is perfect: based on other reviews, I was expecting it to be slimier than it is, and I’m glad that’s not the case. It’s getting the thing out of its tin that’s a challenge. Mine had leaked around the edge and dried, creating a sort of seal that made opening the tin even more difficult. Luckily, I had just ordered a spudger, and that made things a lot easier (see photo). But based on this experience, I’m being careful to keep the tin flat, which means I can’t just chuck it in my backpack. This is not okay. I will need to find a better storage solution, which is disappointing given the price tag. So why five stars? Because the squishy is super squishy and wonderful, and I couldn’t bring myself to subtract stars for the subpar tin.

I have bought 3 of these Aaron's putty so far in different colors. This one (scarab) is my favorite. I absolutely love the colors. It's soothing and helps with anxiety on stressful days at the office.

The color is gorgeous, and is definitely what sold me. It's just as pretty in person as in the photos. However, the packaging is bad. The can was bent just enough to make it tough to open it when I got it, and now it's apparently impossible to get the lid back on, and I've only had it two days. There is no scent to it, and it doesn't leave any residue on your hands, which certainly is a plus. It's denser than I expected, but if it's too hard to play with it, it comes apart easily and will go back together with little effort. Still pleased with my purchase, and I'll likely get another color as well.

I love this stuff. I am the secretary at an elementary school and we have special needs kiddos in the building and I have shared it with a couple of them and they love it. I wish I could get them all to share with my students. Stretches easy and goes back together easily also, bounces like a ball. This is not a sticky substance like slime or goo, nothing sticks to your hands. This is just too fun especially for around 12.00 bucks. Small problem of a leak when it first arrived so the lid was stuck because it dried and it literally took 4 different people to get it open, very strong obviously. Would definitely buy again!!!

I am an adult that fidgets and stims just about non-stop and this putty is the only putty I will ever buy. It's not wet, doesn't leave a residue, its delightfully smooth and has a lovely stretch and squish to it. The iridescence is majorly visually entertaining, making it not only a tactile thing to play with, but also something to look at. You get a very surprising amount of it, so I ended up putting a bit of it into a smaller tin for portability. It's one of my favorite fidgets of all time and I will forever sing praises for Crazy Aaron's.

I've been looking for a long-lasting fidget toy for quite a while and thought I'd found the perfect one. Yes, the tin was tough to open initially, but as long as the putty doesn't get on the lid, it's fine after that. The putty was a great consistency, kneadable and not too sticky, and a lovely color. Unfortunately, I learned the putty can be easily contaminated by lotions, moisture, and natural hand oils. After a couple months of otherwise careful treatment, my putty has become a dull shade of purple-gray, and more importantly, it's become unusably sticky. I contacted the company and was told you need to wash and sanitize your hands before using the putty, and your hands must be completely dry before you touch it, otherwise you can ruin it. I didn't see this information anywhere, so this is a heads-up to others. I've unfortunately had to throw mine away.

My autistic kids love playing with putty and this one did not disappoint. I only wish it would be easier to open the jar as it takes a while with an anxious child around.

Kiddos love it but was a bit sticky in the beginning could have used a bit more glitter

Very cute putty. Nice stretch and texture. I like that it doesn’t really have a smell either. I give 3 stars for the following reasons: 1) there is very little putty inside the container, despite the container’s size 2) the little elephant pieces can BREAK as you play with the putty (quite a few broke while fidgeting with it) 3) the tin was hard to open and it looks like some of the putty leaked out the sides 4) very pricey for what you get, but a great novelty item! Kids will probably love it.
