Waterproof and a well made Bug Zapper
The LUFFYLIVE ELECTRIC BUG ZAPPER WILL BE HUNG DIRECTLY OVER THE OPEN WATER OF THE KOI & GOLDFISH POND.Since birds won't eat the Red Winged Spotted Lantern Flies, it is recommended to use an electric bug zapper. The LuffyLive zapper is well made and easy to clean, a chore we will not have to worry about since it will have the cleaning tray removed. All bugs will fall into a fish's hungry waiting mouth. Fish have excellent hearing and will scan the water surface when they hear a zap.Birds & other insectavores find the red wing lantern bugs bad tasting. But our fish gobble them up.If you have a pond and can safely hang an overhead securely fastened cable to support this light waterproof LuffyLive Bug Zapper (proper & according to Electrical Codes & wired to a GFCI also sold on AMAZON) Do it.We have had it on indoors since delivery. Nailed an elusive fly.WE CAN'T WAIT FORWARMER WEATHERWill post actual zapping results mid-summer.As always buying through Amazon is as it should be when buying from any of its competitors. Not for outdoor
It says for indoor and outdoor, but when you receive it it says for indoor use only. I bought it for outdoors only. Works great though.

Not really effective and had an unexpected issue
I would turn it on whenever I had anything that got in (fly, gnat, mosquito). Never heard it zap anything and still saw the pests flying. An even bigger issue is that I suspect that it has a negative impact on my cat. When I first got it, I would leave it on all the time. Right after, my cat got very sick. I didn't associate the two at first, but I had shut it off and (after some hefty vet bills), my cat got better very quickly. I would try and use it for short periods here and there, but every time I did, my cat would not be able to keep food down. The timing of each takes this, in my mind, beyond coincidence. Unfortunately, I am beyond the return window, so I suppose I'll have to take it as a lesson learned.

Generally useable, but with some flaws.
Getting this for a fly problem in my apartment after my last fly zapper was broken, I found this one worked quite well, and dealt with a lot of flies. However, it also proved to have numerous issues. The first one is that it does not actually properly dump the flies. Every time I clean it, I need to brush flies out of stuck locations. The area it's in also rapidly fills with dead flies, and on occasion not-so-dead flies; while the electric charge easily cripples a fly, it doesn't always guarantee killing it, yet at the same time it offers such a push-back that flies will often get knocked back in every possible direction. So the trap ends up containing many living flies, and the environment ends up, while comparatively less flies, with a lot of NOISIER flies.Furthermore, the tendency for flies to get stuck lead to another problem; overcooking. The thing fills the air with the smell of burnt flies, which is quite problematic when there's a pyrophobe in the house.I never tested how it works with non-fly bugs, but if you're aiming to use it in the house, be warned; it's not your best option.

Great bug zapper for yard or indoor
Great bug zapper. Been using it in my back yard and it help clear lots of bugs like flies , Mosquito, wasps etc at my hangout area. It's will built and durable. Dropped it a few times and still working flawlessly. Very light makes it easily protable to put on tables , bricks or hang on wall or doors. Must buy highly recommended.

Lightweight, portable bug zapper
This guy is lightweight, which makes it great for hanging from a smaller tree branch if that is all you have. The blue glow that attracts the bugs is pretty pleasing. It comes with a user manual and a little brush that fits in between the grates for cleaning the dead insect carcasses off. LOL TIP: set it further away from you so it attracts the bugs away from you to the light.

Don't buy this piece of crap.
Yes, it's lightweight. Yes, it worked fine until it died after being in use for less than 1 year. Piece of crap! The manufacturer says you can leave this outside - don't! It will die and you won't be able to return it. At least that is my guess as to why our unit just stopped working. This product is not easy to clean and it rusted.
