my granddaughter has long legs, she's tall for 4 years old. Will this ball work for her. the toy ball was too little.

In my opinion, this one will be too big for her. My sister is about 5 feet tall and likes the 26" Gymnic Bouncy ball instead of this one. Also, the rubber on the this item appears to be weak compared to the Gymnic..hence the cost difference.

Any chance I can request a color, this is going to be for a boy as a gift.

I bought this product and it came with no instructions. A air pump doesn't fit to blow it or, nor does a bicycle pump. Any ideas on what to do?

We used an air compressor with an Air Blow Gun nozzle (http://www.amazon.com/IIT-10010-Piece-Air-Blow/dp/B004GHKASA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1394589490&sr=8-5&keywords=air+blow+gun+nozzle). FYI, the nozzle will also attach to most bicycle pumps. We have also used a hand pump from an exercise ball (http://www.amazon.com/action-Floats-Exercise-Hippity-bouncer/dp/B00147OVDA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394589622&sr=8-3&keywords=exercise+ball+hand+pump) to top it off occasionally.

Do the knobby knots hurt?

Yes, my 12 year old who was trying it out for me for younger kids said it was very uncomfortable with the hard knobbies. Then my 16 year old agreed. I'm retuning all 6 that I purchased.
