Hyperlite 1-10V Dimmer Switch for 1-10V Dimmable LED,Single-Pole Solide,UL Listed

I bought this to replace a cheaper model that lasted less than 2 months before it decided to save energy by turning itself off whenever it felt like doing so. This product has been a significant upgrade, and while I wish I had been able to take advantage of the current discount, I still feel it was worth the extra money and would happily buy one again. The overall feel of the unit is very solid and it looks and functions beautifully. The trimmer for adjusting the dimmer slide to the lights is on the front and easily accessed, which is where it ought to be (the one I am replacing had the trimmer on the side, so required removing the whole thing from the wall to readjust). Note that this is a 1-10 volt dimmer, designed to be used with lights that use the 10 volt dimming system (mostly LED troffer-style light fixtures), so it is not compatible with ordinary dimmable LED bulbs like you might use in a lamp or ceiling fan. 10 volt systems require a separate 10 volt line to be run to the fixture(s) in addition to the 120VAC power wiring. For my home office application this dimmer is superb, I wish I had bought this one in the first place. The dimmer part that fits in the box is large, so you may have to install a deeper box or use a surface mounting extension plate if your box is old and small (as mine was) - this is not a defect, just a fact of life when replacing a switch with a dimmer. Looks great, feels great, works great - two thumps up.

I wired a switch as the diagram says, but it burnt it up. It does not work junk.

Works great. Definitely a good decision since we ordered more lights than needed.

These were scored to remove the tabs on the sides, but not scored at the mounting holes to fit into a commercial conduit box. I had to break out the old metal shears and make 6 cuts for each dimmer to fit them. My forearm still hurts. This is a $40 dimmer. My $77c outlets came pre-scored to fit the different box varieties. I think a revision to the manufacture is in order here. That said, once trimmed and mangled back flush, all 4 worked out of the box and dim my 150W high bay lights nicely. 2 stars for that. They look nice on the outside, and function well, but I will always know the installation and fitment was ugly on the inside.

This was purchased to go with Hyperlite LED lighting. Caused a short that was not explained by instructions or by contacting the manufacturer, who had no ideas about why.

Out of the box, one of the dimmer output leads (Gray (-) ) fell off. If I did not have a soldering iron, it would be wasted money since the return window is closed. Once I fix and check with the load, I'll update if the dimmer function works to "0". Edit: It does not dim to 0V but 1.35V. Contacted the seller. Response was I ordered 1-10V which is not true but my order history now shows 1-10V. Pictures of what I received say otherwise. Are they going to this length by changing the product description not to stand behind what they sell? Also, it is rated as 10A but, again picture shows it is 6A. DON'T BUY.
