Do not buy this webcam...
Do not buy this camera. This camera became the bane of my existence the instant it entered my life. I originally bought this camera because it was marketed to be easy to use, plug and play. IT IS NOT.Here is the sequence of events:Recive the camera in the mail, the box itself had good weight to it, turns out 90% of the weight of the camera is from the mount. The camera itself weighs no more than an empty soda can.Plug in camera and open Razer Synapse. Camera is not being detected. Great. (I then try every single one of my other usb slots, 2.0, 3.0, 3.2). Nothing. OK. Restart computer? It's now being detected in the devices menu, but when I turn on the preiveiw for the camera nothing comes up but a grey screen. So I close synapse and go to google for trouble-shooting.Initiate trouble-shooting rabbit hole.I found out I might have the wrong version of synapse, so I uninstall it and reinstall Synapse 3. Restart computer for good luck. Open Synapse. Camera is popping up in devices *yay!*. Camera preview is working and I can see my beautiful face finally. I'm able to refine the settings and get the image to look pretty good, and enter a discord call to show my tech buddies my new toy.The webcam works for 3 seconds and then freezes indefinetly.More trouble-shooting ensues.I find out the webcam might need a firmware update. No problem. I do that, all is well. Restart computer for some more good luck. Camera preview in Synapse looks great. Enter Discord call, camera cannot be detected. Fine. You guessed it, more trouble-shooting.I find out that the discord application has webcam issues itself, so maybe I shouldn't be so hard on the camera and try to fix discord problems that are affecting the webcam. Touble-shoot that stuff and it doesn't fix anything. From there I test the camera in OBS studio, and Twitch. Same problems of either being hard to detect or freezing indefinetly. And now, I am here.Reading into other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one experiencing these issues/similar ones. I really wanted to like this camera. It has a sleek design and was marketed to be convinient and easy to use. I also really liked that it connected directly to Razer Synapse. The camera also looks great for the couple seconds it works, giving me a taste of whats its capable of but not letting me have it. I don't personally believe I can do anything more on my end that I haven't tried multiple times over already to fix this. I hope my review can help you decide if you're willing to take on this headache of a webcam, or choose another brand like I will be.

Amazing with some flaws
Been buying Razer products for years. I love the brand and almost all their products. This camera is no exception. A high quality 1080p camera that works flawlessly with streaming and WhatsApp video calls. You can adjust the viewing angle, modify a lot of characteristics in the Razer Synapse app and also use it as a mic. Very sturdy and good looking. Just one thing, sometimes it stops working in the middle of Zoom and Meet calls, I don't use those apps very often but be aware that it is a known issue and apparently it doesn't have an official workaround. For anything else, is one of the best cameras I've ever owned.

Very good camera and mic!
I work remote and everyone comments about how my video looks better than everyone else's. I agree. This camera captures the true colors of my office, and sound amazing too. I don't use the built in mic. I use a Fifine K688 most of the time, but the built in mic is very comparable in quality.

Overhyped, complicated, full of bloatware, and no privacy (despite the high cost)
The camera hardware is great as long as you don't want to use it for anything but viewing yourself in the Synapse configuration. Also, Razer wants to know all about you and apparently cripples the software if you don't login every time you use the camera. For example, if you want to use "Virtual Ring Light" you have to log in. For some reason Razer recommends you back up your web cam config. But you have to have an account to do so. You are the product, and they charge you a fortune for the privilege. What's more? A lot.Since buying the Kiyo Pro I've had nothing but problems. The camera isn't recognized during meetings. I've had to spend hours reconfiguring to get it to work consistently. This includes troubleshooting, updating firmware, changing USB ports, uninstalling, reinstalling and "repairing" the software, ... on a brand new Dell PC. When I did manage to get it working my colleagues told me that they noticed no difference in image quality from my 10-year old Logitech, which was 100% reliable. Wide angle worked once, and now is more or less the same as narrow and medium. Also, no perceptible difference between HDR and SDR modes. Actually, in my environment SDR provides very, very slightly better quality. Forget about "responsive" autofocus. It's too slow. The built-in microphone on the camera doesn't do a great job of blocking background noise, and in fact my colleagues now hear an annoying echo unless I have the sound turned way down. So, I've had to enable the mic on the PC, instead. Lot's and lot's of bloatware included, which might be good if you're a PC gamer, I guess. Fortunately, I bought this webcam used (like new condition). If it continues this way over the next week. I will return it to Amazon and go back to my simple, small, very old Logitech that works seemlessly upon plugging it in.New update following several months of use: it’s still terribly inconsistent. As a webcam for meetings the Synapse software is unreliable. Often, after ending a meeting on Zoom, and completely logging out of Zoom, at the next meeting the camera doesn’t function. The Synapse sw package drivers are apparently still running in the background causing the Zoom app to report that the camera “is in use by another program”. Same happens when going from a Google Meet to Zoom or another instance of Google Meet. It is not clear how or why this is happening. The only solution is to kill all Synapse tasks, wait, open Synapse, wait for it to recognize the webcam and finally start the new meeting. …Or reboot the computer. Unplugging and then plugging the webcam back in doesn’t solve the problem.Truly a heaping pile of steaming garbage.
