Great little trailer
We bought this for our 13 month old daughter. Several years ago we purchased a bike child seat that attached to the rear of the bike. That was a disaster. Too heavy, akward, and very uncomfortable for the child. So we looked at trailers instead for our youngest. Most of the trailers have two seats, but from what I read and saw in stores, the seats are extremely small and it's not realistic to fit two kids in the trailer together. Plus we only have one kid who isn't riding their own bike. I didn't want to haul around the extra room and weight if the space wasn't needed. Setup was fairly easy. The instructions to install the hitch to the bicycle are good, and I had it attached within about 15 minutes of setting up the trailer itself. I also bought a second coupling so my wife and I can quickly switch the trailer between bikes. There is plenty of room for a single child, and strapping my daughter in there was easy. The seat bottom has tension adjusters to keep the trailer bottom from sagging, although there's no way the floor would ever drag. The real beauty of this is once you get your child strapped in and attached to the bike. Unlike the child seat, I had no idea the trailer was behind me. The weight is hardly noticable. The ride is smooth, there is no jerking, it corners naturally, and my daughter sits in the trailer with a huge smile on her face. Some of the bike rides have been lengthy for a one year old - up to an hour, and so far she's never started fussing while being towed around. There is also a small amount of cargo space behind the seat. Enough for a diaper bag or some water bottles. Overall we're very happy we found this unit. The price and weight were less than the double units, and so far no problems with performance.

Great for your baby!
We bought this when we had baby #4. Never had one before, as my husband and I just got bikes for the first time, since we were probably 13! Our older kids 10, 8, and 6 are into biking. So for cheap family fun we invested in bikes for us and a trailer for our then 10 month-old baby. It very easy to assemble. Even easier to set up and break down each time. It all folds in on itself. We got a trailer hitch bike rake for the minivan to hold 5 bikes and this trailer fits with lots of room to spare in the back of my Honda Oddessy. The directions say for 1 years-old and up, but our son has been super strong since births. Army crawling at 4 months and walking by 9 months, so we figured sitting in the trailer wouldn't be an issue and it wasn't. Buy the extra coupling link to connect to your bike, so there is one on each adults' bike and it makes attaching it to either bike really easy. (Only one coupling link is included to attach to one bike.) We used this all last summer, even taking it down to Destin, FL for some beautiful biking. My son loved it. Plus, there are pockets for sippy cups and toys. Not to mention plenty of room for water bottles for the rest of the family. I did add some of those custioned shoulder pads to go around the straps, just because they were hitting him across the neck and chin and I didn't want them to cause a rash. (I just used the ones off the old infant carseat he grew out of.) The straps are a 5 point harness, completely adjustable and the seat height is adjustable as well. On long trips, he falls asleep and is perfectly safe. We can hear my son ooohing at all he sees. You will feel it when pulling this trailer. I had a heck of a time once...then we realized the tires had gone flat! (Check the tires before a trip.) Once the tires were filled up, it was much easier. Going up hill sucks, but that sucks anyways! Getting started can be a pain, but once your peddling, your fine. I'm 34 and 5'2 and I can pull this...but I prefer to let my husband do it when he's with me! I thought about getting one of those seats that attaches to my seat for this summer, now that my sone is 1.5, but I'm afraid it'll throw my balance off. With all the kids, there is a a lot of stopping and starting and the trailer just seems like a safer, smarter option. Remember to practice safety. Don't ride at night and don't let little kids hang in the rear. We do it in a line from my husband & the trailer, the 3 older kids, then me watching from behind for any wipeouts. (My 6 year-old still bites the dust & my 8 year-old daughter is just as slow as me!) It's great FREE family fun and a workout. We easily can bike 6 miles before the kids start complaining. We love this trailer!

Great Bicycle Trailer!
We purchased two new bicycles for our anniversary this year and were on the hunt for a great way to allow our two children (2 and 5 yrs old) to accompany us on bicycle rides. Our 5 year old loves to ride along on her own bicycle but she can't keep up for any extended period of time, so longer rides were out unless we found something that would work for both children. We researched many bicycle seats and trailers and found this one to be a safe option and a great value for the money. Upon receiving the trailer, we were able to assemble it and attach it to my husband's bicycle in less than 15 minutes. It was super easy and also folds back up without a problem so we can get it in the back of our van and transport it to the park. The trailer is sturdy, even with both children inside, and while they don't have a whole lot of "wiggle room" it does allow ample space for both children. They love riding behind Daddy and even our 2 year old (who is a "complainer" in most strollers and the carseat) doesn't complain at all. I can't comment on how this trailer would handle on rough terrain because we mostly stick to paved paths, but on paved paths it handles without a problem and you barely know it's there (except up a few steeper hills, but that's to be expected). We have tried it out on a bit of grassy area and didn't have any problem with it there. Overall I can't think of any real complaints about this trailer and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Light, easy, compact!
So I got this TWO days before schedule! Awesome! It was easy to set up, 10 mins. If your not familar with bike parts and want someone to show you how to do it CORRECTLY, then stop by a bike shop near you. It's considered a saftey check, and most will do it for free. It takes 2 mins to add the part, and you can leave it on the bike and ride with or without the trailer! Then when you want to go with the little one, pop it on and go! Thing is so light that I didn't know I was pulling it with my 23 lb 31 inch long 20 month old in the back. Ok, he cried at first but when I started moving he got what I was up to and quited down and enjoyed the view! I'm in need of loosing a few lbs. I'm a 5'6" 218 lb female with a bad hip and back due to a broken knee injury a few years back. I have taken it for a spin twice so far, and no complaints! Biking is low impact so it's a good choice for me. I'm also pulling it on a Trek 4300, though any adult bike with gears will do. I also live in ND and there isn't alot of hills, it's pretty flat. Either way, I put my peanut back there and he had room and was just fine. As he gets taller I imagine he'll bend his knees or something, but still not bad. It's a good price too! Bonus if you opt for the free shipping! The front has a screen, and a plastic sheild if it's cold, wet, windy. Although I won't go out with him if it's REALLY windy, and it gets that way here. Or raining, that's a no brainer. If it's a bit cooler it would be okay, other wise I don't see the point. I think the plastic cover would make it like an oven in there. But I'll keep it rolled up and I'm all good. The screen is fine for keeping out small things I might kick up with my tires, or bugs. Oh, I have bugs on it alright! It is springtime! Don't make sharp turns with this thing people! Use your heads, wide turns! Turn slowly!! I really didn't feel like I was "towing" anything. To me with my issues, that's huge! I'm on my last kid, and my other one is WAY to old to be in the thing so a single trailer was perfect... for me! I'll say I love it and up my rating after a few more rides, longer ones at that, if it deserves it. It's a nice trailer! Worth the price, which you can't beat. Besides I had to online order this I live in ND, there is no where to "shop" up here. Amazon is my friend! Happy Riding!

Great product, even better Customer Support
I purchased two of these, one for each of two mountain bikes my wife and I ride. My moutain bikes are cheapie bikes (under $80.00) from Target -- and no offense to anyone that considers that caliber of bike "nice," -- but I know most people in my neighborhood spend at least 4-5x that on a bike. THAT being said -- install was a breeze, each of our bikes are different makes (Schwinn, and Mongoose). The unit comes out of the box easily, every clicks and snaps confidently into place and you're literally ready to ride with your little one(s) in under 10 minutes. I have a 35lb two year old and a 24lbs 1 year old -- both have ridden comfortably in one unit, and of course they ride comfortably in each of their own units. Turning while riding the bike is easy and this thing handles bumps/curbs really well and doesn't seem to slow me down. It's great exercise and quite frankly at first I couldn't even feel that it was attached, and I only had to downshift one or two gears at times to compensate for the extra weight. Full disclosure -- on the tire, it recommends no higher than 36psi. I inflated therefore to 36 psi, not reading the manual well enough where it says 20-25psi (max 25). One morning I went to get the kids ready to ride, and the tire was "flat" (the innertube was ruptured). I called the 800- number and they quickly answered, recommended I no longer fill past 25psi, and mailed me a new wheel, innertube, and tire within 3-10 business days. They were very polite and professional on the phone, they just needed the model info and date code that's on the base of the frame just inside the left wheel axle. Can't speak more highly of this company or this product, should get many years of fun out of it. --- Update: got my new wheel, innertube, and tire -- brand new from the company, all is good again -- came in 4 days from the phone call.

Good little trailer
Used this to tow my kids on trails it probably wasn’t designed to handle- handled them anyway. It’s got at least a hundred miles on it, everything from paved roads to boulder- and root-strewn single track trails. We found the the awning/cover to be a little too stifling for summertime, so we just removed it and put goggles on the kids to keep dust out of their eyes. Looking back, and at the few small holes in the fabric floor from being dragged over rocks, a lexan skid plate might’ve saved the fabric and the occasional sore bum- but this little trailer has exceeded our expectations regardless. It breaks down easily to fit in the back of a midsize SUV, reassembles just as easily, it fits two 30+ lb squirming toddlers, 2 medium backpacks, four 32oz water bottles, all the snacks, plus all the cool rocks and sticks the toddlers find, and with a couple of husky Velcro straps, you can haul an extra bike on the back of it. It can probably hold more than dad can pull, to be honest. We’ve enjoyed it throughly, and even though our boys have now outgrown it/are riding their own bikes, I might just add a rigid floor/deck to it and use it for hauling camping gear in the years to come. Or a recovery rig if they get tired on a long haul. Either way, we enjoyed years of use (and some abuse) out of this trailer, and will likely see more years of use out of it.

WE LOVE THIS BIKE TRAILER
WE LOVE THIS BIKE TRAILER!!! Our little guy just turned 1 year old and he LOVES it in there! The quality is really good and I love the storage behind where he sits. Perfect for diaper bag, food, water bottles, etc. The set up is extremely easy and the product quality is superior! We like how in the front there is either the mesh net so he still gets a breeze or the sold plastic flap in case it rains, etc. Connecting it to the bikes is very easy....HOWEVER, we both have the Trek Fitness FX bikes and the coupler did NOT fit on the wheel! Fortunately my dad works in a machine shop and was able to trim/modify it to get it to fit. So it took some tweaking to fit our bike but outside of that it is really nice! It pulls super smooth that sometimes I don't even feel like he's back there. It breaks down compact and the price was EXCELLENT! A comparable model sells at our bike shop for $300! And it isn't any nicer than this one. We love it and highly recommend it! If only every thing we bought was this nice of quality. Only modifications I would suggest is maybe a way to be able to adjust the back so we can lean it back. Putting him in there is a sure way to get him to fall asleep however with this he almost is sleeping sitting straight up. It would be nice for us to lay it back more for him.

Terrific for the price!
Yes, "for the price". As with all my reviews, I want to qualify "what it is" vs. "what it isn't" so that potential buyers can put it in a frame of reference. What it is: Cheap, incredibly easy to assemble, solidly made. It'll last for a couple of years - enough for 2 or 3 kids to go on semi-regular bike rides. It's comfortable for one 3-year-old or two smaller kids. What it's not: Not made of heavy canvas or burlap, not going to last as a hand-me-down for three, five, ten families to use, not good for applications other than pavement, gravel or smooth packed earth. With the super-simplified hub assembly and plastic wheels, it's not likely to last you a million miles. Impressions: The wheels "snap in" to the hub assembly so there's no magic to this; there's no solid axle, no suspension, just two greased necks that slide in, 'lock in' to metal apertures, and that's it. The axle 'nub' is metal; but it's not going to have heavy wheel bearings. It assembles unbelievably easily, so while I am a fairly mechanically inclined person and work on my own cars, plumbing and HVAC, I was impressed how simple this would be for a non-mechanically-inclined person to assemble. I've taken about half a dozen rides with my 3-year-old son seated in the center in the back. Every time I make a 2-mile loop around the lake in the near-by city park, I get two to four comments/compliments from joggers with kids in strollers, other bikers, etc. One guy on a bike paced me and said that the trailer looked great and asked all about it - where I got it, how much it cost, how well it works. It's not cheap junk, so you can put that out of your mind. For $80 it's a steal; I paid about $20 more and that was easily worth it. However, the seating and sides are all plastic or polyester. Heavier kids will 'ride low' so if you go over rapid bumps or high roots, things you wouldn't really notice on a bike with 26" wheels, the kids could bump their bottoms. My son fits fine by himself, but when my daughter turns 1, it might be a bit of a squeeze to get a 1 year old and a 3 year old in there together. Realistically, I'm not sure I'd want to be dragging around something that's roomy for 2 kids anyway. Finally, based on the mechanical construction, I would surmise that this one is good for occasional rides for 2-3 families with 2-3 kids. At most. That depends, too, on how big the kids are that you're carrying around, and how the trailer is stored (outside vs. in a garage). I guess that means, I wouldn't really expect to get any more than 1000 miles out of it, maybe double that if the rides are primarily with smaller kids, over smoother surfaces, and the trailer is stored in a garage. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. My kids will probably retire before I actually accumulate 1,000 miles on my bike so... take it for what it's worth. Maybe this super-simplistic hub assembly will last longer than my old cars. :)
